A…read morefriend recommended Maly's to us on the basis of two full re-roofs they had gotten due to bad weather. We have no money, so getting a new roof was pretty intimidating for us. You never know what they'll find once they start tearing the old shingles off, and it can be really expensive. Maly's said our old sub-roof was good, when they could have sold us repairs we'd never be the wiser about. They also cut us a deal on a lot of higher-quality shingles that were in a green color. Kinda odd, but we didn't mind, and we got a longer warranty out of it. The crew leader and I had a misunderstanding about where they were supposed to re-roof and where they were supposed to leave it alone. He wasn't super happy about it, but in the end he did agree to do every area I had originally specified, and only charged me like half of what he said it would have cost otherwise. I guess you should make sure they know exact details before they roll up! They came and were done in one day. I found a few stray shingle-bits around the yard afterward, but they managed to leave the yard looking pretty clean when they left. On the whole, they provided a quick and efficient service for us at a surprisingly reasonable cost. Now we never have to think about that roof again!

We were surprised and upset when the roof developed a leak last winter, and when we had roofers come to look at it, we found out that the roof had deteriorated to the point where it needed replacement. Maly's representative Leroy came immediately and on time for their estimate, and he was incredibly personable and forthcoming with needed information on how to get a roof that would last in our changing climate, and be a beautiful addition to our retirement home. We are so happy with the product/s that we selected with extra protection against high winds, impact, and algae. Within a couple of weeks, the job was done. Leroy's crew was polite, hardworking, and cleaned up every bit of debris. The roof is a fabulous addition to our home's aesthetic. It looks like a cedar roof, but is without the maintenance of true cedar shakes. The price for this very good quality roof was reasonable, and their excellent warranty on the product and workmanship means we will not have any worries ever in coming decades. We HIGHLY recommend this company and their products.

Second he pointed out things like torn screens, not the type of thing one needs a home inspection for but he did not address a bump in the hall way floor hardwood that as it turns out was not support according to code. Nor did he mention extension cords in the crawl space of the aun room addition that clearly re not to code. Nor did he address four little brackets that someone put on the floor joist allegedly an effort to provide some type of support. And finally he did not address the sinking of part of the floor in the sun room. All things we have noticed after moving in. These are things that would have effected the offer we made. i understand there are no guarantees associated with home inspections but these are clearly things that should have been at a minimum mentioned in the report

Buck Raith, one of the owners, came to our house and talked about what would be done in detail. We talked about materials, style, support, everything we could think of and more. Buck gave us an estimate and references. After looking at some of their work, we were impressed and decided to go with them. Surprisingly, we did not have to make any down payment or deposit. We were told we didn't pay until we were satisfied with the work. Work began on schedule. The deconstruction took longer than expected, which did not surprise me. We were very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the workmanship throughout. We changed the railings and were only charged the difference in the cost of the materials. We are extremely satisfied with the result. It was better than we hoped for. The deck is beautiful and is exactly what we wanted, and at the price we agreed to at the beginning.
