Pretty much a super-star when it comes to top notch service, the man really cares. Heckuva kyaker from what I gather as well. Aside from that it's a great facility, open late enough to get your stuff in during normal people hours. $79 per month for a one-room sized unit, I have no idea if that's fair or not but it seems alright to me.

Now called Storage Pros. Beware. If your payment is late, and you send it in, they mark it not…read morereceived and send it back. Then when you send it back with the late charge, they mark it not received because in the meantime, they tacked on another $15 in 7 days and will not accept partial payment. So by the 3rd time they tell you that you can pay it on the phone, because it is impossible to catch up by mail. After 2 months of the mail madness, my bill went from $132 to $207 because they could not accept partial payment. Their bookkeeping is peculiar and suspect, so minus 5 stars. Plus that, I don't recommend outdoor storage, they have cracks and animals and bird droppings get in and everything is mildew. Find an indoor storage if you have any valuables.

The Festival is quite wonderful. Kid's parade Friday…read moreevening. Make time for the parade on Saturday. Watch the River Raft Race. Bring the kids downtown right next to the Fire station for rides and food. Visit Curwood Castle. Go fishing at one of the many parks from Corunna's McCurdy Park all the way to Harmon Partridge Park. There's an interesting set of vendors behind Fortune House restaurant on Main street. I hope they bring back the dog competition "dock diving." That's really fun to watch.

Ugh, the yearly Curwood Festival! It's four days (and nights) of lots of people, lots of noise,…read morelot's of inconvenience and barely any actual "Curwood". If you think this festival is about honoring the writer and conservationist, James Oliver Curwood, you will be sadly mistaken. True, you can tour the famous Curwood Castle, on the banks of the Shiawassee, maybe see an antique or two, but for the most part this festival is a small town carnival with all the warts that go along with it. Parking everywhere you look, out of towners, carnies, expensive greasy food, pounding rock music. Want to get downtown to do important business? Good luck with that! Live within a ten mile radius of town and hoping to get a good nights sleep? Good luck with that too! With nightly rock concerts that go on until 1 am you'll be feeling the bass in your bedsprings! Apparently the city noise ordinance doesn't apply during Curwood. If I could I would leave town during Curwood, as it is I'll be avoiding downtown like the plague and count the days until the County Fair where you can at least breath fresh country air without choking on the smell of sweat, smoke and god only knows what else.
