0/10 beware of Children's Health of Raeford!…read more My daughter has been in their care since arriving in NC nearly 3 years ago. She takes a daily medication, which they write in 3 month intervals. I have to call once a month for it to be sent to pharmacy. We have not been terribly happy with this practice (referrals not being sent, no availability for sick visits and the Dr's having no understanding of autism) we decided to move to sandhills Pediatrics, before doing so, I requested a copy of her file. My intention was to finish her 90 day prescription and transfer practices then. It is important to note, she has not been seen by this new doctor yet, we are still under the car of CHofR. I called to have the last batch of her refill sent to the pharmacy, and was told that since they transfered her file, shes not their problem anymore. (Litetally) I asked the (incredibly rude) receptionist to speak to someone above her about this as my daughter isn't being seen yet by anyone and she needs her medication. She called back gleefully to tell me "this is our office policy, good luck" This practice is incredibly unprofessional, they do not care about the physical and mental well being of the children in their care. I cannot express this enough, go anywhere but this practice. The staff is rude, the doctors are harmfully inexperienced and they are clearly only interested in making money from your insurance. 0/10 I do NOT recommend trusting this practice.

I was contacted by an Office Staff (Not a tenured Staff member), but I'll leave Her name anonymous. Long story short I was contacted by a Staff member to confirm current insurance and the appointment was made. Shortly after my Telehealth appt I switched Providers and contacted the Office to book a second app at which time a tenured Staff member confirmed my current insurance wasn't accepted. I was confused and mentioned my previous appt was with the non-accepted insurance and immediately contacted Cape Fear Valley billing. I was contacted by CH and She explained the Staff member was no longer with the practice (WOW)! My first thought should you be sharing that info? Second thought... How many other people were mis-informed and mayve experienced the same issue. I was told to submit a financial assistance application to help with the bill. After a lengthy back & forth and having to submit 3 different documents I was contacted and told I got approved for a 100% sliding fee, but it will not cover my $263.00 bill, so all the documents I provided were never really going to help the bill I acquired due to the lack of knowledge on the Staffs part. I have since changed my insurance to be able to continue care at this Office without a chance of this becoming an issue in the future, so the sliding fee really doesn't help me. This is terrible and this bill should be written off cause I would never have intentionally made an appointment with an insurance my Provider didn't accept.. Terrible customer in this matter and highly disappointing.
