The pro of the room is the drinks and snacks provided, but unfortunately, there was a lot more misses: - The Turret bathroom looked like it fit into the period style with a claw foot tub, but it was not easy to use. The flimsy pipes made for turning on the tub difficult. Soap and shampoo was on a table two feet away from the tub. The raised claw foot tub made for a dangerous slippery situation to reach for soap and to get in and out of the tub even with a grab bar. - The toilet comes with old plumbing. Make sure to flush twice, if not three times, as it lacks flushing water pressure. - There are no side tables next to the bed, so phones and other personal items lands on the windowsill away from the bed. - Two huge lamps hung over the bed that we had to move to avoid head bumps. - The windows faced the street, but the slatted window blinds made for a bright room to sleep. The house was clean and we were able to use the common sitting areas downstairs. It would have been nice, especially for the price point, to have a pot of fresh coffee available in the huge kitchen downstairs or even fresh cookies or other baked treats. Heck, for the price, breakfast should have been served since they have a huge unused dining room.

For example a few us did not like our tree branches because it was too thick. He told us why our branches were thick and then told us the technique to thin our branches out. I know a few of us were OCD about our painting and Adam had a lot of patience with us. He also took a blank canvas and let the class practice brush strokes, leaves, birds, etc before painting on our own canvas because many were scared to mess up their paintings. The only negative about the experience was the restaurant that was hosting. Saddle Creek Woodfired Grill is a great location however, the lighting is bad and as it darker it got outside, the harder it was to see in the restaurant. Poor communication & I don't find them truthful. I was told no decor would be seen until two weeks prior to wedding [after signing the contract]. We also asked for a list of what they purchased with our retainer fee and they conveniently were not required to provide those details to us based on their contract language. For these reasons it was important to exhaust all options & resolve planning related concerns with the reverend & wife duo. After $3,000+ dollars provided up front, no wedding or event (nothing to show for the money spent), and a failed court case we finally received a $1,000 settlement. Due to the pandemic, it took over a year for my family and I to close this traumatic chapter. Was it worth it? Not really. I won't get my wedding day back, the beginning of "happily ever after" will always be tainted by this experience. Lesson learned--proceed with caution with Pokey D's. (Consider using Central Arkansas Entertainment though for any packages they may have that you need. Working with them was a stress free experience.)

Bonus points for being in the train station building, and has plenty of parking - in a location that's central, but isolated enough to be private.

This is a neat like sub-park/play area located in Riverfront Park, just off of the main section of…read morethe Vogel Schwartz Sculpture Garden. It is named after Margaret Clark in appreciation of her longtime commitment to children and her interest in Riverfront Park. Her husband William E. Clark, has a wetlands park, down the street from this one by the Clinton Library, that is dedicated to him as well. It is very nice and welcoming. You know you have found the park when you see the twin sheep sculptures, Bliss and Glee, which are the work of Giuseppe Palumb. The park also has a hippopotamus sculpture named Roundbottom, that serves double duty as a bench. It is the work of Tim Cherry. The park opened in 2018 and still looks relatively new. It was designed for children ages 2-5 and is on artificial grass and mud free rubber surface. The park appears to have a nature theme and has a bank of traditional/toddler swings, rocks to climb, percussion instruments, bridges, slides, stand and spin, and a spinning cone climber. The slides are small and there is not much there as far as equipment goes, so I do not see the park entertaining kids much older than 5. It is a nice park though and well maintained. I have no issue with them catering to pre-school kids because sometimes the littles get over run over and pushed to the side by the big kids at other parks. This is not a destination park, but it is nice spot to visit if you are in the area with little kids and some time to kill.
