I will generally go out of my way to shop at Home Depot over Lowes; however, Vidalia does not have a Home Depot (yet). On a Thursday afternoon I went into this Lowe's location to purchase a washer and a dryer on they condition they deliver the units to my address on a Saturday. They processed the order (and made the sale) with that condition in their system. On Saturday morning I woke up to discover that the delivery date was changed in their system. Someone made the executive decision to change my delivery date without my authorization. So when I discovered that I promptly drove back to the store to cancel the order for a refund. This is a perfect example of why I generally prefer Home Depot over Lowes; and why I prefer placing certain orders for larger, big ticket items with businesses other than Lowe's.
