I was desperate looking for an alterations shop to sew a patch on a beret for my stepfather's funeral later that day. There was nobody from Savannah to Statesboro that was either open, or was willing to do this on such short notice. I stumbled upon The Embroidery Shoppe's phone number in the phone book and as a last ditch effort called them to see if they'd be willing to sew this patch on. I spoke with Christy and she said it's not what they usually do but to come down and she'd help me figure this out. I went down to the shop, and Christy sewed the patch on in a matter of minutes. She was such a lifesaver, and so friendly and helpful. I grew up in Brooklet, but moved to the West Coast when I was 18, so Southern Hospitality is something I really miss. I experienced Southern Hospitality at it's finest with my experience at The Embroidery Shoppe. I can't say enough about this little place. You won't find an as seen on TV section, but you will find Radio Flyer Wagon, Tricycles, Tyler Candles (they smell great) different college football team memorabilia and all sorts of odds and ends. Before Christmas gets here I'm going to stop by Pembroke Pharmacy and buy some stoking stuffers. Pembroke Pharmacy is worth dropping by even if you don't have a cold.

First off the family who owns the shop is wonderful, friendly and extremely welcoming to all who enter their doors. I found that each day I would walk around and notice some new trinket, glassware or paper ephemera item that I had overlooked the day before. You will surely be greeted by their beautiful golden retrievers during your visit who love all the rubs. They also have another sweet dog named Rose who you will find resting throughout the shop. I reordered a case of particle paint from them, they did not order what I asked for and tried to tell me it was the same. I have been painting for over 40 years and no two paints are like each other. So when I refused to purchase the paint they said they would reorder it. What Paint Masters did was overcharge me for the correct paint. And gave me a 1.5% discount, what a poor business Paintmasters Decorating Center is. Don't purchase form them. I went to the Ace Hardware store on 1870 Northside Dr. E, Statesboro, GA. They are much better and their pricing is less than Paintmasters Decorating Center on Benjamin Moore products. They also carry Magnolia Home paints which are very high quality and surpass Benjamin Moore for quality, but most of all for color choice. If you need Benjamin Moore's Aura line go to Savanha the Benjamin Moore Dealer there (B & B PAINT CO.102 W Victory Dr. Savannah, GA) sells the Auro Line for $23.00 less than Paintmasters Decorating Center. Paintmasters Decorating Center is overcharging for Benjamin Moore products. I will never buy from Paintmasters Decorating Center again and neither should you.
