We heard that Sherry FitzGerald was a professional company, but how far from the truth was this. We sold our residential property with them. They found a buyer, but at this point everything went so wrong. A member of staff gave the potential buyer the key and let them enter the property unsupervised. We were unaware of this until we got a call from a neighbour stating the potential buyer had moved a static caravan into the rear garden by craning it over the roof. At this point the potential buyer had no insurance in place, they damaged the interior of the house and they were planning on living in the static caravan rent free before the contract was exchanged. The staff at Sherry FitzGerald did nit check the property to ensure this did not happen. You can imagine the extra stress this put on the seller as the interior of the property had been destroyed and there was a static caravan in the rear garden. If the sale had fallen through, I would have been in a world of pain as it would be up to me to put the house back to being sellable again. The directors of Sherry FitzGerald were concerned, not for the customer, but their business. We had nearly two weeks of stress and getting extra engineer reports completed. I would not recommend their services. read more
