The office staff is extremly well organized and managed. However, there are more negatives than positives.
First, the experience. You need to obtain a badge from the security desk below. This is not a huge time issue, but just one thing that you have to do.
Second, the office itself feels really dated from the 1980s. The couch is pretty dirty and old, and I don't like being in the waiting room. Every wall is an 80s pink and there are dusty plants. It just feels like it hasn't been updated or cleaned in a while. This is not a strong first impression.
While Dr. Sherman is perfectly polite, pleasant, and accomodating, he seems to be a bit over-reactive and a bit overwhelming in his philosophy. For example, I wasn't really experiencing many issues prior to my 6 month cleaning, but he managed to find all sorts of things I needed to have done that were not bothering me and were not necessary. I had a second opinion from another dentist who said it was not a necessary filling to do.
I felt obligated to go through with his recommendations and almost a bit pressured that it was more necessary than it really was.
Also, the X-ray experience was painful as we had to do it by 2 teeth individually, not like most dentist offices where they have more up-to-date equipment that just takes a few x-rays.
I have since switched dentists and recommend Dr. James B. Ford down the street. read more
