The store is located on the main strip for the University of Delaware. The interior has about four barber chairs and they have retro style comic book artwork on the walls. They also play heavy metal, classic rock and grunge music usually on the overhead speakers. The place is brightly lit and is very clean. They get a mix of students and locals who come in for haircuts, beard trims and shaves. The service here is always quick and professional. They take payments by card, Venmo or cash. Just be mindful that there is no parking lot here so, you have to park on the street and pay at the meter. Also, the town parking attendants are brutal with parking tickets so, book a time in advance and allot enough time on the meter. Currently one hour is $1.25 and two hours (which is the max) is $2.50.

Goddamn I had straight bangs! I thought to myself I think I'll pay a little more next time. So a month or two passed and I still didn't know where to go. I've never found a spot that feels like home. So I was Perusing Yelp to see what was around that took walk ins. When I looked up Gents I saw it was a 17 minute walk and near Steap & Grind. Two pluses for me. Get there early grab a coffee and wait. I got there at 10:02 and they were already cutting. So I sat and waited. Conversation flowed easily between myself, the barbers and receptionist. I was having a pretty good time waiting. I think it helps to have women on staff so the conversational topics veer from misogyny and sports. Example: My old lady is such a nag I can't watch the game. I can't relate to either of these things. My wife isn't a nag and I do not watch sports. A lady that was there made several appointments online for her family but the online system fucked it all up. So the owner made sure they got their cuts at the time they meant to book which looked like great service to me. I ended up sitting down with Kim. I had some ideas on how to cover my bald spot. So I bounced them off her and she helped me select the best one. I was very happy witH how it turned out. She did not lead me astray. I will book an appointment with her again. They also had super cheap hair products for sale. Which is surprising since shit is normally super expensive. Anyway if you're looking for a spot to hang your hat and hang out.... this place has a great atmosphere as well as a great end result.

The first thing you'll notice when you walk in the door is the baseball memorabilia coving every inch of the establishment. There's even an autograph from Babe Ruth. The second thing you'll notice is the atmosphere.
