Easy to book. Service was great and I really enjoyed the cut and trim. Beard looked great afterwards

Cut it too short and was told trim it up, nothing too drastic before the prom. It was frustrating to watch.

My son came for a haircut and later realized how bad the cut was. He let it grow out and decided to try this place again and go to someone different. He made an appointment online and showed up 3 min late due to traffic and noticed their sign on the door says that they have a 10 min grace period. The barber (the same one that cut his hair previously) said he could take him and my son told him twice no thanks he wanted to wait for the other barber. The guy said you were late so either I can take you now or nothing so my son said no thank you and got up to leave and the guy said no problem! I honestly don't understand the concept here. Since when does a customer pay but not have a say as to who cuts their hair? Needless to say he will go elsewhere- they aren't the only barber in town! read more

This shop deserves the 5-star rating. Nice clean shop. Everyone is so personable and professional. Owner came out to greet me and introduce the staff as a new customer. Most importantly, the barber was so careful in making sure my teenager was happy with his haircut during his cut. For parents, it's nice to know when visiting, no profanity, decent music, and good entertainment on television to suit all audiences. read more

Hayden snapped with this haircut! It looks awesome and I feel great! I used to go to US Male, but I found my new place! Total transformation

service was ok but they gave me the worst haircut I've ever had in my life and I was not happy with it. 10/10 would not recommend.

Went to this place twice and did not have a great experience. Then a friend recommended a specific barber to me so I went back and had a great experience with him. I've continued to go there and continued the great experiences with that Barber. The other day I made an appointment and requested my Barber and he was already cutting somebody else's hair so I offered to make an appointment for another day. The owner followed me out to the parking lot in the rain and got in my face (literally) And told me I was not allowed to walk out because he will not guarantee that if you request a specific barber that you will get that barber because that violated his business model. He called me a no show when I was literally standing in front of him. Clearly, he cares more about his business model, than customer satisfaction. I made another appointment online requesting that Barber and they canceled my appointment. I'm very sad because I REALLY LIKED my barber and always tipped him very generously! A haircut is very personal to me and I like building a rapport with the person cutting my hair. I grew to like and trust this barber and felt he did a great job but I can't recommend a business where the owner doesn't respect the customer. Customer Respect and Trust is paramount and in one episode the owner of this shop destroyed the great opinion I had about this place. read more

Easy scheduling...nice new building/space...very reasonable prices...and most importantly a great cut.

Expensive expect to spend $26 without tip have to schedule appointment and you can't schedule barber to cut your hair I was a customer for over ten years when I complained about not liking the barber who was going to cut my hair to Jay he said to me "Should I fire him" at that point he lost a loyal customer went up the road to Tom's they took me as a walk in and cost $10 less. Tom's has online scheduling and you can also select the barber great place rate Tom's a 5 out of 5 read more

J and Dillion are complete pros! They took me and my brother in as walk ins and did a phenomenal job. The facility is clean and the atmosphere is entertaining with light conversation and music. I'll stop by again next time through town. read more

Have been out of the area for quite awhile and asked around for a "REAL" barbershop. First time customer, and was very impressed with quality & pricing of my cut. I a new customer from here on out ! Real deal barbershop, you won't be disappointed .... read more

I started going to this barbershop right at the end of Covid, because there was none open by me. All of the barbershops nowadays never listen to how I actually want my haircut and they try to give me some modern haircut that I didn't ask for but js is completely different. These people truly listen to what you want done and try to get it right to the best of their ability every time. Also, every time I visit this place is sparkling clean and looks great on the inside. J he's also a great guy and every few months when I swing by for a haircut, he remembers me by name and tells whatever barber is cutting my hair how I like it. Truly overall great experience at this place and will continue to go here for a long time. Highly recommend!! read more

Five star all the way, great staff and always accommodating. Great parking, a clean modern barbershop. Not to mention consistently great haircuts. Keep up the good work fellas! read more

You can't go wrong getting your cut at J's. Staff is always friendly, and the haircuts are the best you can get in the Tri-State area. I travel all the way from Lancaster, PA. and it's worth every mile! read more

First time here. Very friendly staff, super clean environment and very welcoming people which i definitely really liked. Haircut will be done within 20. minutes, which is something I wasn't used to since barber shops (not named supercuts) will usually spend 30-45 minutes. Now the reason for 3 stars, is because after my haircut and looking at everything closer I realized how unevenly cut my hair on top was done, and after a couple days it does look pretty obviously uneven that I may have to fix it. But not noticing this is also my fault as well. Just double check your cuts and J's could be the spot for you. read more

Great neighborhood barbershop. Fast service and excellent attention to detail. We will be back next time we're in the Wilmington area.

I just had a haircut. I had a 1:30 appointment, as did 4 others, but I was the first one there out of the 4. The 2 barbers in front skipped over me and invited 2 others that were there after me to sit down first. I was stuck with a kid that barely looks like he's out of highschool. No one was watching over him, I could tell he was unsure about everything he was doing. I asked for a shape up with my haircut, he barely shaved around my existing beard line, leaving loose hairs all over. and did not even touch my actual beard! When I came home and looked in the mirror, I noticed a bald patch about 1/4 inch above my left ear because instead of him moving my ear lobe down, he cut around where my ear actually is. It's incredibly visible (and a little embarrassing) so not only did I have to shave to clean up what I paid extra for him to do, I had to see that I'll be walking around with a bug chunk of hair missing in one spot! I've been there before and they're more experienced barbers do much better work and everyone is very kind. But there is a massive difference between barbers and you can not request a particular barber and you pay the same price for less quality. read more

Best barber in the area. I have been coming to J's for years and never had anything less than a great haircut. I asked a guy who had a tight cut and he said he won't go anywhere but J's. He was right. These guys are the best. read more

I've been going to J's for 5 or 6 years now. A lot of the same guys have been cutting hair there for a long time. Always a great cut at a good price. Nice place to hang out if you even have to wait. I'm not too familiar with this area of Delaware having just moved down this way for work and found J's googling for barbers in the area. The ones I've been to recently around here have been so-so, but nothing that's kept me going back. The shop is very clean, everyone was super friendly and professional. Zach did a great job on my beard and hair and I didn't have to wait at all. Pricing was great for the services done and the cut was quality- I'll definitely be back. Thanks guys! read more

3+ years later and I won't even consider going anywhere else. I'd drive 30-45 min to get here if I ever move out of the area. The consistency is incredible, and all the guys remember exactly how you got your hair cut the last time. I can't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning and these guys remember if I shaved my part in 2 months ago. read more

I just wanted to say Thank you to whoever was in acme and gave us a 25$ gift card for your place for my son !!!! Place was very clean and looked brand new. Barbers are professional and know what they are doing. They take their time and never rush through any cut. My hair is very hard to get right and these guys pulled it off. If you like the long top/short sides look these barbers will do a good job. Highly recommended. I waited 30-45 mins on 3pm on a weekday, and haircut took 30-45 mins too. read more

This shop is awesome. I'm always hesitant about finding a new barber but the chain places around town just weren't cutting it. I walked into J's and sat right down for my cut. My barber (Kyle I think I'm bad with names) took great care of me and took his time to give me the perfect cut and beard trim. I haven't had a haircut this nice in years and you can't beat the price. They are great dudes, a professional shop, and a place you can tell wants to go above and beyond for their clients. I definitely found my new shop. Thanks guys! read more
