As it was the holidays (and a weekend), I sent a message to Rick via his website and left a message. He called back quickly and spoke with us over the phone to diagnose the problem. (This was after a large, well-known plumbing company that serviced the area told me their plumbers were quite busy and would need to charge me time & a half since it was after-hours. To their credit, they did offer suggestions for other local plumbers...but after researching, those plumbers didn't have great reviews...unlike Heritage Plumbing). Rick gave advice on purchasing a new faucet from Home Depot and scheduled time to see us the next day, which was very nice since he was technically not planning to return to work for a few weeks. Rick arrived on time, was thorough in his installation of the faucet (& cleanup), and was fair with his pricing. He was also very friendly and a nice guy. Enter Rob from Steadfast plumbing. Scheduling an appointment with Candy was straightforward and easy. She was very helpful answering any questions I had & was able to schedule an appointment sooner than expected. This put me at ease as the pump has been inoperable for a week already & we're in the midst of the rainy season. Rob arrived at the scheduled time and we discussed the issue. He presented me with a plan & estimate which i agreed to. The price was reasonable so i approved the work. I don't envy Rob's job as he had to crawl into the crawlspace in a few inches of standing water to remove the old pump & install (to my surprise & pleasure an American made unit) the replacement.
