Date of event: 11/14/20 Location of event: Chicago, IL Services provided: Wedding coordinators Hiring Sheribu was one of the best decisions we had made for our wedding! The months leading up to our wedding, we were set up with guides to help facilitate our planning. As we inched closer to the wedding day, Sheribu was at our side to ensure we had all of our tasks completed. There were things we would never have thought of that would have not gotten done if we didn't have Sheribu. Jibu was the main communicator and kept us in line. Sherin was my right side woman with all things bridal/beauty/bridesmaids/dress. Because of COVID, my husband and I were faced with unexpected challenges. As challenging of a situation it was for them as well, Sheribu stayed on top of the news for us and made sure we were staying within the guidelines and encouraged us to be as realistic as we possibly could be. It turned out to be amazing! On the day of our wedding, I felt zero stress. From the second I woke up, Sherin had already been at my house taking care of all the bridesmaids. Jibu was managing everything at my husbands house and kept all details in order, kept the parent's sane, and made sure flowers were distributed properly and well. When small things went out of order or not as we had planned, we hardly knew because Sheribu has managed it so well! I would recommend Sheribu to anyone and everyone planning a wedding!!! read more

Our wedding was more than we could've ever expected and was certainly not possible without Sherin and Jibu. When we decided to get married in Schaumburg, we knew we would need a wedding planner since we lived 2 hours away. With our unique situation of wanting a Hindu/Christian wedding, there were so many details to be planned. Sherin and Jibu made it easy for us to meet over google hangout sessions and having a flexible schedule to meet with us on Sundays. They were extremely helpful with finding vendors, including our amazing photographer. The day of the wedding went absolutely seamless. As a bride, I was very anxious about events running on time. Jibu and Sherin coordinated with both of our families and wedding party to ensure the different events were on time. Thanks to this amazing and sweet couple, our day was perfect! Date of event: August 8, 2020 Location of event: Cicero, IL and Elmhurst, IL Services provided: Wedding Coordinator We cannot say enough good things about Jibu and Sherin! They were so flexible and kept us organized throughout the ups and downs of planning a wedding during the Pandemic! There were regular calls with Jibu the whole 1-1.5 year of planning, which was great to make sure we were on track. Our plans had to be modified and changed up until the week of the wedding, but they were both level headed and tried to keep us on track throughout the whole process. The morning of Jibu was with my husband while Sherin started off with me, which made them very accessible. Since our wedding reception was in our parent's backyard, we had multiple vendors coming at different times to set up the day of so it was great to have them both around to make sure everything went smoothly. They helped to make sure our backyard wedding didn't feel like a backyard. Also, they were both in charge of the timeline so this really allowed our families to take a breath and know that our wedding was in good hands! We HIGHLY recommend using Sheribu Events for day of coordination! read more

Date of event: March 2, 2019 Location of event: Garfield, NJ Services provided: Wedding Coordinator My husband & I consider ourselves to be very organized people and thought we could handle wedding events ourselves. But boy were we wrong. Yeah you can choose your vendors, weigh out the options yourself but when it gets closer to the date it turns into chaos. You end up having to juggle a lot more than the actual wedding (i.e guests questions, family requests, alterations, getting beauty stuff, shopping for last minute items.. the list goes on and on) so the last thing you want to be doing is worrying about whether your photographer (and all the other million vendors) know where to go and more importantly are on the same page. Things change so quickly and I assure you that you won't regret hiring Sheribu Events. On the morning of our wedding we were greated with a lovely snow storm. This caused a couple of our vendors to run behind schedule. Sherin made sure that this would not negatively affect our wedding timeline. She made adjustments to the timeline and still got everyone ready by 11:00 am. For the next 15 hours, Sherin kept me sane (and laughing!) and on schedule. She handled all of the little things like helping me get in my dress, putting my veil on, getting me water, putting on my bustle, helping me in my manthrakodi, keeping everyone in line (and also on schedule), basically you name it, she did it! I am so grateful for Sherin- thank you for being such an amazing human and for going above and beyond for our wedding! I cannot begin to describe to you how relaxed we felt on our wedding day because of Jibu. Not only did Jibu perfectly execute everything that we planned and take all the stress off our plate by handling day-of decor, drop-offs, interactions with vendors, etc but he had some really creative saves in unexpected situations. Our guests raved how organized and how much fun our wedding was. We cannot thank Jibu enough for being an amazing MC, for his Type A personality :), and for making our wedding so memorable! read more

Date of Event: Saturday, August 4, 2018 Services provided: Planning/Coordinating Services Location: St. Thomas Syro Malabar Cathedral, IL; Drury Lane, IL Breathe. It's one thing the bride and groom's family rarely do on wedding day. However, we had Sherin and Jibu-- Sheribu, by our side on our big day. Planning a wedding from New Jersey wasn't the easiest but knowing I had Sherin helping me with my bridal to-do list and answer all of my questions was a great sigh of relief. They had also worked with a lot of our vendor and at the locations we chose as well that made the preparation even more efficient. Kevin and I wanted our family present to enjoy our big day and Sheribu was there to take care of the issues behind-the-scenes. Flying into wedding weekend, I didn't feel stressed and it's something I hope every couple feels heading into their wedding weekend. August 24, 2019 Ceremony: St. Mary of Angels Reception: Patrick Haley Mansion Jibu and Sherin did an amazing job easing our nerves on the day of the wedding. I even forgot my vows at the altar (yes, like a scene from a movie) and they were on it immediately and fixed the problem seamlessly! My husband and I were very much relaxed and at ease the entire day knowing things were taken care of with the help of Sheribu. We had very specific requests and requirements about certain things, and they made sure to adhere to those requests to make it a great memorable day for us. They were open to some of our unconventional ideas throughout the wedding planning process. We also enjoyed hanging out with them the day of the wedding. Jibu served as both the Emcee of our wedding reception as well the coordinator for our wedding rehearsal. He was incredibly helpful in offering advice about a number of points regarding wedding planning while we were in the process of planning. What struck us most about him was his dedication and flexibility when it came to all that we needed for the wedding. He went above and beyond. For example, Jibu had to fly in earlier from a previous engagement just so that he could be early enough to coordinate our rehearsal in the best way. He was responsive to all our concerns about combining our differing traditional rituals and a great mediator between us and our bridal party/family. We were very impressed with the breadth of knowledge he had regarding many traditional Indian rituals. It was important that one of our relatives was also an Emcee and Jibu was not only accommodating but took the time to get to know her and made the effort to connect with her so that they would have great chemistry as emcee partners. This was very apparent to us at the actual reception. What we most enjoyed about working with Jibu was not only his professionalism but also his genuine desire to make our day perfect--whatever he had to do. read more

Jibu started the day off with my husband, while Sherin started off with me. Even months prior to our wedding, we spoke to Jibu on a regular basis to make sure we were on track. We do not know how people even have their weddings without them! We were so lucky to have Sherin and Jibu plan and coordinate our wedding because it was like having family right by our side every step of the way. I have a very type A personality, but I was able to give complete control to Jibu and Sherin because I know how detail oriented they are. Both of them made extra effort to make sure our families let go and relax during the wedding weekend. Our wedding was a special case because both the bride and groom had intensive schedules and were not heavily involved in the planning through the months leading up to the wedding. Jibu accepted our request to keep track of our wedding checklist so Ashim and I could focus on residency and grad school. We also had a four-day wedding weekend with double ceremonies in one day. Regardless of how chaotic this may sound, Sheribu never showed an ounce of stress or doubt that everything would turn out any less than perfect. I specifically want to thank Sheribu for having their superhero capes on and being prepared for every kind of unforeseen challenge through the wedding weekend! After this past year of working with Sheribu, Ashim and I feel we have developed lifelong close friends and mentors. If you can land Sheribu as your event planners, you are extremely lucky and blessed. They helped us find a beautiful wedding venue in Chicago in unbelievably very short notice. Sherin personally took time to help my wife find the perfect wedding gown. They helped us find the best vendors. Jibu was even the MC at our reception. We used Sheribu for the full package of planning for our big day and we couldn't be happier with the results! Jibu was very professional. He was always timely to our meetings and came prepared with ideas/recommendations. He aided in setting up the itinerary for the day and meeting with our families to ensure that everyone was on the same page regarding the timeline and events. Jibu coordinated our Wedding rehearsal in a timely manner and even finished earlier than we had expected. He took the initiative to contact our vendors, wedding & reception coordinators, priest and hall coordinator to ensure that everything would go smoothly. The wedding and reception would not have run so smoothly without his help and that everything was done how we wanted.   Jibu was also one of our two MCs. He worked well with his partner, kept the crowd entertained and ensured that the various events ran within the time allotted. Some parts did run longer than others but for the most part, the reception followed as we had planned. Jibu's interactive and entertaining personality definitely kept the audience's attention throughout the entire night.    We would definitely recommend Jibu as a Wedding coordinator and MC. read more

Knowing Jibu my whole life, I wanted him to MC our wedding and bring a personal touch from a "brother's" perspective. Little did I know what I was getting myself (us) into! Our expectation was for him to introduce family, say a few jokes, and just ensure that folks paid attention. His deliverable was so much more. He coordinated entertaining games, kept our guests laughing and truly engaged, and made it all so personalized to us with his quips! Jibu was the talk of the wedding reception. He stole the show and had everyone asking me who the MC was and if he was available for other events. Even our DJ, who was hesitant to have a family member MC, asked Jibu if he wanted to work for him! In addition to MC'ing our wedding, Jibu helped with the coordination the day of and before our wedding. He did this without us really even asking. He took care of all the little details that we weren't able to get to - working with the DJ on music selection, directing staff on site, taking care of final payments, etc. With his maniacal attention to detail, his ability to command a room, and his sense of personal excellence we look back on our wedding with happiness and delight! It was a stress-free day because of him! read more

My husband and I have nothing but praise for Sheribu and we are so happy we picked them as day of coordinators! Jibu and Sherin were essential in making our wedding planning and the day of go perfectly! From the moment we booked them to even past the wedding, they've been truly helpful in ensuring that every detail is addressed and that everything is organized and on track. They go above and beyond to make sure the couple is taken care of months prior to the wedding by scheduling monthly calls and being easy to reach if anything comes up or if we have any questions big or small. Then on the actual day of the wedding they are by your side the whole day and ensure the bride and groom and their families are just purely focused on enjoying the day and having fun while they take care of everything in the background. They definitely exceed expectations of what typical day of coordinators do and make sure they're accessible to you throughout the planning process and their primary focus is on making sure the couple is the happiest and worry free the day of the wedding! Both our families and wedding parties had nothing but praise for them as well and really enjoyed having them there as much as we did! Our parents and siblings also really appreciated Jibu meeting them prior to the wedding to talk through everything and make them feel at ease! Jibu and Sherin treat the weddings they handle very professionally and also with so much consideration and care that it feels like they're part of the family too! We really appreciated that about them and their willingness to make sure we were both taken care of! We used Sheribu Event Management for our wedding day. Jibu and Sherin truly made sure our wedding day went by so smoothly. We know that we could not have had as peaceful and awesome of a day if it not had been without their help along the way. Jibu started working with us for our itinerary a few months before our big day. He made sure to ask us the right questions to keep us on track and to make sure we did not forget anything. We appreciated his helpful advice, recommendations with vendors, and his experience from weddings as we tried to coordinate ours. If there was an issue that came up, Jibu made sure to help us find a solution to it right away. He was always so prompt with his responses to our concerns and was super reliable/flexible in making sure our needs were met. In addition, Sherin was also extremely helpful in making sure our sweetheart table looked amazing. I honestly was not too sure how to put what I had in my mind on paper, but Sherin was able to work with my style preferences/color choices to order the right materials so that I did not have to worry about that. Her input, openness and quick response to my concerns helped me to put my trust in them. For the day off, we were not aware of anything that may have gone wrong ( if there were haha). Jibu made sure that he was the right-hand person should there have been any concern on that day. Our parents were really impressed with his professionalism, his communication skills and his ability to navigate the whole day. We felt the love and pure happiness through the process as we worked with Jibu and Sherin. They coordinated a 17 hour wedding day that included a Hindu ceremony, Christian ceremony, and reception. They were prompt, very detailed, and organized throughout the whole process of the planning stage and the day of the wedding. We loved that they met with us once a month or we wouldn't have caught certain things that would have otherwise been missed! They definitely helped us stay on track with all the aspects of wedding planning! Our main focus was making sure that everything went on time since we had such a long day and everything actually ran ahead of schedule thanks to these two! Sherin was a great help in organizing day of hair/makeup for the bridesmaids and families and assisting with the wedding programs. She was so great at listening to the bride's ideas and also giving great suggestions to make sure the day went smoothly. Jibu was great at giving recommendations for things such as limos/party buses and print shops. He was excellent at making sure things ran on time for both ceremonies and the reception. They provided us with a very helpful spreadsheet that made sure we wouldn't forget any small or big details. Having Sheribu there allowed us to really relax and enjoy the day and not worry about the details that generally worry the bride and groom. One thing that we appreciated was that Jibu and Sherin took the time to meet with our families and review timelines to ensure everyone was on the same page for our big day. Having to go through the interfaith wedding process for both our families was difficult, but Jibu made it so simple for our families to know that we were in good hands. Jibu was exceptional for our wedding event! We had a multi-day wedding (Hindu and Catholic events) and had actually hired a different planner for the full-event. Jibu oversaw all of the Catholic ceremony events and as he's a dear friend of ours, also was an emcee for the Reception. Jibu was extremely professional in working across all of the different vendors & the other planner. When it came to handling Church logistics, Jibu was able to anticipate all of our needs and we were able to enjoy the day without a worry. As an emcee, Jibu knows how to gauge the audience and keep the flow of the entire evening smooth - he has a natural ability about him to connect with people, and so he was perfect for the job. His humor and confidence shine at all times. Jibu also provided us with additional comfort by looking at our wedding timeline and identifying any issues and how we could address it prior to our wedding day. They have a spreadsheet which is very helpful and helped keep us on schedule. There was always open communication between us; something we personally appreciated very much! The week of the wedding was pleasant due to the fact that Sheribu contacted all the vendors and dealt with them personally so we wouldn't have to stress as much before the big day arrived. Jibu and Sherin even met with our parents and gave them a rundown of the wedding day events! That was a huge stress relief for the parents and us. Wedding rehearsal was quick and organized. The day of the wedding went according to plan; no problems at all. Everything was organized and followed the schedule closely. Sheribu was by far the best vendor we hired for our wedding! Hiring Sheribu for our wedding was hands down the best decision we've made. Initially my fiance was very reluctant on getting a day of coordinator, as he thought It may be an unnecessary expense. After months of trying to convince my fiance, just one conversation with Jibu changed his mind. We hired Sheribu right away. Even though there wasn't much time to work till our wedding day, jibu handled everything with ease. He spoke with our vendors and parents with great expertise. Although our families are very difficult to deal with, he was able to get all of them to cooperate. Keep in mind, this was the first wedding in America in both our families, so our parents aren't used to the American wedding styles. Our stress level went down to an all time low after Jibu came into our lives. On the wedding day, everything went as planned. Even if it didn't, we have no idea about that, because Jibu was there to handle everything. Literally, every guest commended on the timing of the wedding. It was a very fun day for all of us! Hiring Jibu and Sherin of Sheribu Events as our wedding day coordinator on October 7th, 2017 was one of the best decisions we made during the process of wedding planning. We had a huge Indian wedding of about 900 guests at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Jibu and Sherin handled this with no fear. With the day of coordination services, we were offered video conferences once a month to review the progress we had made on wedding planning in the months following up to the big day. Jibu was great at making sure that we stayed on track and guided us in making decisions that were most appropriate for our big wedding. On the wedding day, Jibu and Sherin gracefully handled every curveball that was thrown at them. Whenever there was a problem, they took care of it without concerning my husband or I. They got the right people involved, kept our parents and families calm and handled everything with such grace. Jibu was also our MC and was very energetic and kept our crowd interested and our programs going along on time. They stayed until the very end of the night and even helped us put away our personal items such as gifts, traditional items, guest book and more. Everyone needs a day of coordinator for their wedding, I think it makes most sense to hire the best, there is no one better than Sheribu Events to help you make your big day the best day ever. Our wedding was in the DC Area and Jibu helped keep the whole day on schedule and fun for everyone there. To this day, we get compliments on how well the day was planned and organized, and a big part of that is due to Jibu. Jibu was not only our MC for the evening, but also a groomsmen. Jibu met with us and kept in touch on how we wanted the flow of the evening to be and run through the schedule (where he provided tips on timing and order of events). In addition to playing those two important roles, he stepped in to help organize the ceremony, the picture process and details of the Catholic ceremony when our wedding planner was MIA. Jibu did an exceptional job and we would recommend his services for any event. He can do it all and really cares about the service he provides. read more

My husband and I tried doing all the brunt of the planning ourselves. We even had excel documents and spreadsheets with layouts of how we predicted the wedding day would go but the amount of details quickly got to be overwhelming. I had lots of offers of help from family and friends but also wanted to protect my family and bridal party from working that day. I reached out to Jibu to hire him as a day of coordinator and I never looked back. It was one of the best decisions for our wedding. I picked Jibu because he is familiar with Indian customs and had plenty of experience coordinating weddings. I would describe his personality as type A--and this is the type of person you need to coordinate your wedding because it's all in the D.E.T.A.I.L.S. I mentioned that my husband and I found most of our vendors but we had overlooked some details which Jibu helped us with (ie finding the limo service for one way trip to the church, coordinating music at the church, etc). He organized and coordinated our rehearsal at the church; and we were able to run through the procession/ceremony details twice because of his efficiency. He was very organized and had a protocol to make sure everyone, including parents of the bride and groom were on the same page. We met several times to discuss the layout of the big day and even had a specific meeting with the parents so important cultural traditions weren't overlooked. Both sets of parents felt very comfortable with Jibu and they had a sense of ease about the stress of that day after meeting him. He was also an important point of contact for our MC's and kept them informed about the layout of events for our reception. He became the point person for all our vendors and handled final payments and tips. I remember my makeup artist telling me, "You are the first bride that is not on the phone all day." I could let go and just enjoy the day because any questions or concerns were directed towards Jibu. I highly recommend hiring Jibu as a wedding coordinator. Remember your wedding day should be a day to celebrate and enjoy the joining of two families. So have fun and let someone else take care of the details. Good luck! read more

I don't know what we would have done without Jibu on our wedding day. Aside from being a close friend, he was very professional and met with me (and my husband through Facetime) to outline what we were looking for. He literally had an itinerary starting a few days out before the big day outlining major tasks/events, family coming in, and contact people for each task. He even met with both of our parents to help explain the outline and have them be comfortable with everything. Let me tell you, Indian parents have tons of questions, but Jibu was able to ease their minds quickly. It also helped for our parents to know who they can ask questions to on the day of the wedding and not having to run to any of the vendors themselves. Jibu even emailed all of our vendors with the timeline to ensure everyone was on the same page. I have a hard time trusting others with major tasks, but Jibu did such an amazing job that I never had to think twice! One of our biggest concerns was having our dads stay relaxed and not worrying about anything the day of the wedding. Jibu even had them happy! Any minor hiccups that occurred that day, i.e. our limo driver taking too long and arriving late to the reception hall was handled beautifully. We were running about 30 minutes late, but somehow Jibu managed to catch us up back to schedule! He even followed up with us after the wedding to talk about how we thought it went. From start to finish, he has been a life saver! I would highly recommend Jibu to coordinate your wedding, especially the day of, because the last thing you need to worry about are the minor details. I love that I was able to take in everything without even having to think about what is/isn't being done. Thanks again for everything Jibu! read more

Words cannot express how wonderful Sheribu is when it comes to planning an event. My husband and I were lucky enough to get Jibu to come help our local planner with our wedding ceremony. We had our wedding in a church in Texas with a wedding coordinator who was not familiar with the Malankara service AT ALL. So in order to ensure all the traditions went smoothly and to make sure all the priests, bishops, groomsman, bridesmaids were all on the same page, Jibu stepped in. He conducted everything with such grace. Before we hired Jibu we were afraid we wouldn't have time to get pictures in the church because the church staff was very strict about staying within a certain time frame. Jibu made sure everything started and ended on time with no hiccups. More importantly, we had more than enough time to take pictures. I'm so grateful to Jibu. You definitely want Sheribu for your wedding. They are invaluable! read more

Our wedding was in 2013. When we first casually talked with Jibu about our wedding planning saga, Jibu promptly hired himself as our wedding coordinator. Jokes aside, Jibu's varied experience reassured our South Indian parents that our wedding day would go smoothly. We didn't want our family and friends to take on the stress of coordinating our day. Jibu ran through our rehearsal a few times, helped coordinate our Indian Catholic ceremony, and managed our reception at a banquet hall. He worked well with our families, kept our intentions in mind, and went above and beyond his call of duty. People still tell us ours was the "most organized wedding" they've attended, and we thank Jibu for his part! We know Sherin as a friend and highly recommend her sharp attention to detail and kind personality as a complement to anyone's special day. Now when we witness the small hiccups that naturally happen in weddings, we turn to each other and say, "They need Sheribu!" read more

My fiancé and I had our engagement reception in Chicago. Both of our dads wanted the wedding to be in India, and it was my dream to host something here. I had to convince our families to at least have the engagement here and I promised them that they won't have to worry about anything because we have Sheribu Events to take care of it and they did not disappoint us at all. Sheribu was the backbone of our engagement. From the very first day of planning till the day of the engagement, we had Jibu and Sherin walk us through everything. Even though it was just an engagement, it felt like we were planning a wedding. I remember asking Jibu how he does it for multiple people, because the planning was giving me a headache and all he said was "I've been doing this and I enjoy doing this". When you enjoy what you do, you know you're putting your 100% into it. That's the reason why they excel at whatever they do. Their package has everything including peace of mind. I highly recommend them for any kind of event planning and I assure you, they will live up to your expectations. Thank you Sheribu Events for making my dream come true! read more

We hired Jibu a couple of months before the wedding. We really needed someone to help us coordinate our day of events just because of the amount of people and events that we were doing (We had a Hindu wedding). We knew our family would be helping us, but we also knew that they would be so excited seeing family that they haven't seen in a long time, that they might forget what we asked them to do. Let's just say, it was the best decision we made! Jibu met with us several times before the big weekend. He always reassured us on how things will go smoothly for the weekend and that he will make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything. And he was right about that! Not once during the weekend, Nikunj (my husband) and I had to worry. Everything went smoothly on the weekend of our wedding. He met with our families, bridesmaids, and groomsmen and went over the schedule that we had made. He also gave us helpful suggestions. Both of our families were so happy with Jibu and the amazing work that he did. Most Hindu weddings never start or end on our time. The wedding ceremony started 30 minutes late, but somehow, we ended up finishing up 15 minutes early! All of our other events started and ended on time as well. His assistants were also helpful. The photographer failed to take pictures of me before the wedding ceremony. Luckily, Jibu's assistant had a camera and took pictures of me with my bridesmaids and my mother. I can never thank him enough for doing that. I would definitely recommend Jibu to anyone who is looking for a day-of coordinator. He is organized, a great communicator, and personable. He was definitely able to handle our crazy (but loving families). He definitely took our stress away that weekend! read more

I can't rant enough about the amazingness that is Sheribu Event Management. We couldn't have asked for a better day of coordinator and event designer! Jibu helped me plan the wedding weekend minute by minute. I've never seen such a thorough wedding weekend schedule! When it came to the day of the wedding, he handled every detail to perfection! Tom and I didn't worry about a single thing on our wedding day, and we have Jibu to thank for that. Sherin was our decorator for the hall, and she did a phenomenal job! She listened to everything we wanted and was sure to take our budget into account. I gave her very little direction on decor and just let her be creative with the theme I wanted. We were not disappointed at all!! The reception hall manager said the hall has never looked this good! We had a PERFECT wedding day! Both of our families were extremely impressed with how seamlessly the day unfolded. To this day we still have not heard any negatives complaint about our wedding (which is unheard of with Indian weddings!). For all those looking for the perfect wedding/event vendor, look no further! Jibu & Sherin are the power team you need! read more
