Then we worked with Kelsey the rest of the time and on the day of our wedding Sept 30th. Hanni was extremely responsive, professional, and knowledgeable about everything with planning our reception at Circa. Kelsey was super helpful - we live in Colorado and when we arrived for the wedding the week beforehand she let us come to Circa at our convenience to drop off decor (2 different times). She made herself available at all hours of the day to me and provided me her cell number in case of emergencies the week of the wedding/leading up to it. Kelsey and the Circa team set everything up for us and the place looked AMAZING - everything was beautiful! They took our decor and put it all together in a way that was perfect. They followed our timeline perfectly all night and worked with our DJ/photographer to make sure each part of the night went smoothly. Kelsey came up to us throughout the night to see if we needed anything (if we did, she was quick to execute). At the end of the night Kelsey and the team put all our decor back in boxes and packed it up for us, which was EXTREMELY helpful!! They really did not miss the mark anywhere - everything was so so perfect thanks to them! I couldn't say enough good things about Circa, Kelsey, and Hanni. The package deal they offer for weddings is amazing as well. I recommend Circa to anyone getting married - you won't regret it! They make the process so easy and the wedding so beautiful/elegant. ***Side note: we were worried about it being a tight fit since we had ~160 guests but so many people told us this actually was a great part of the reception - being in a smaller space forced everyone to be together and mingle... The space is gorgeous- tastefully elegant in a way that can work as a finished product or a neutral canvas to which you can add your own personal touch. The upstairs area works great for a lounge/retreat from the main event, as well as serves as a great place to set up a photo booth. The staff is also incredibly helpful. The event I planned for work had an extremely tight budget, but everyone at Circa worked with us to make sure those attending would feel special and impressed. They were also polite, courteous, and informative through several rounds of questions and changes in plans on our end. I am so happy to have an event space like this in Kenosha, particularly one with such fine catering.

The grounds and mansion itself are both stunning and remarkably up-kept. The buffet spread was generous and varied. The staff was attentive and kind. It was nice to receive a complimentary mimosa as a mom upon arrival. We ate our fill and then were able to walk the grounds and see some of the areas of the mansion. Very much so appreciate the opportunity and thought this was an excellent way to celebrate Mother's Day.

Even with the few small hiccups we had, nothing major, I wouldn't change much. Chris & co. were fabulous to work with. Quick to reply to inquiries, happy to try to help come up with alternate solutions when what we had envisioned wasn't do-able (due to state law.) Everyone at our wedding has commented on how FANTASTIC the food was. From the appetizers through to cake (provided by an off-site contracted vendor whom I will review separately) everything was delicious. It's hard to say that about wedding food sometimes! The Arboretum did the room set-up for us, because there was a brunch wedding the same day as our 6pm start wedding. It wouldn't have been better if I did it myself. Everything was laid out as I had requested and I had no reason to worry about things not being correct (we provided centerpieces, escort cards, decor, cake topper, lighting, you name it.) Having the private brides room was a life-saver. Even just to have a place to sit and have a quiet moment by myself. My only hiccups were that we had discussed having our cocktail hour in the main foyer dining area. This was sold to us at the very first meeting, that we had the entire venue, and this is where cocktails would be - they would take the tables away and put in some high-boys. This did not happen. When I asked about it, I was told it wasn't in our contract. So, lesson learned to me, get everything in writing. The only other thing was that scheduling the tasting was a little strange. I asked many times from the time we signed our contract (late winter 2016) through spring, summer, and fall, when our tasting would be. I was told 2 months ahead of time. We were scheduled for October 2016, which was fine, until at the tasting when we told them how quickly our event was coming up, a few of the employees looked at each other as if we should've had our tasting far sooner (oh, your wedding is in January? this is late October...) Small hiccups to say the least, and really due to my own lack of contract knowledge. Arboretum Club comes VERY highly recommended.

There was a strong pepper flavor and a little bit of char. The grilled chicken and bacon flatbread had a nice variety of textures with a pretty crisp cracker crust. The combination of chicken and bacon in this dish worked well together to create a nice savory taste. The fries were crisp and fairly meaty, a solid version of a slightly thicker cut fry. Overall, not a bad place to stop by if you're golfing or visiting places nearby. Hours can be erratic, about 11-5 on most days except Monday where there is no kitchen service, winter time where they may close early, and on specials nights where they open till 8 pm.
