Utter incompetence! I have had many medical and dental services over my lifetime but this office…read moretruly baffled me. They don't know how to schedule appointments- seriously. For example, my insurance allows 4 cleanings per year, in other places they were calendared ahead of time one each quarter. Here: they only schedule 1 appointment, then tell you the next available appointment is 4 months. So basically you miss your second cleaning. So you ask them to proactively schedule the 4th appointment so you ensure you have it- they won't! Then to top it off they just cancel your appointment because all the hygienists call out sick on the same day. You would think they would try to fit those clients into the schedule. No! Sorry wait till next year. Awful location. Save yourself some grief.

Just short of a year from the work being finished one of the crowns cracked. the doctor that did the work is no longer there and a doctor from the Manhattan office saw him in Smithtown. well now his mouth is getting worse. He now have an infection where the cracked crown is which is highly dangerous for him because he has a knee replacement and it can become infected because of his mouth. He is being told that the crowns need to be removed. we have left messages every where there is a working number and emailed the main office as well but have not had any replies.

I finally got infected and she wanted it pulled, on the phone we asked if they pull teeth and they said they do. $225 later we were recommend to a specialist that wanted to save it for $1900 + , we are not doing that for a tooth in the back of her mouth that could end up giving her trouble down the road so we went back to e.s.i. and they wouldn't pull it . So here was someone in pain and we got a run around ended up a a oral surgeon that pulled it for $425. So when they say they do everything they don't were never going back I do not recommend this dentistry.

The care I've rec'd over the last 25 years is really amazing, I've had so many people admire my smile (a smile, I might add that I was embarrassed of before going to this practice) - and now those admirers are going to Dr. D.!! When they retire, they even travel back just to be cared for by him. Over the last 25 years, I've also been cared for by his wonderful and knowledgeable dental hygienist, Cheri.
