Loved my stay at this hotel. Sheraton is part of the Marriott family so already my standards are high for cleanliness and comfort. And this hotel met those standards and beyond. The lobby is huge and has a lot of seating area for you to hand out if you like people watching like I do. There is a parking garage on property for pay. The staff who checked us in was super friendly and was very helpful.

You know you are in hotel that caters to their primary Chinese clientele

I decided to spend a Saturday night at the Sheraton San Gabriel using my Bonvoy points. The property is more than a year old and it still feels very new and clean. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Most of the clientele tend to be Chinese which would explain why there was no 4th floor. Service was very good and friendly. They do charge $18 for overnight parking in their underground garage with unlimited in and out privileges using your room key. Overall, it was a perfect overnight stay in the San Gabriel Valley.

Fairly new hotel in the area that feels like it caters specifically to Chinese clientele. Many of the signs are written with English and Chinese characters, the restaurants are all asian style i.e. Chinese and Japanese. Even the Spa is focused primarily on Chinese clientele. With that being said, great location for a hotel, the parking is convenient, and the actual rooms are clean. The gym is open 24 hours and has a great 1:1 cable machine, dumbbells in increments of 5lb all the way from 5lb to 50lb, and plenty of cardio machines. The pool is heated to ~80 degrees F and is long enough (though not a full length 25yard pool) that you can reasonably do laps in. A couple of issues though. If you are staying in any rooms from 40 to 60 for any floor, expect to make a full 180 degree walk around the building to get to your rooms when you come up from the elevators. Only one set of elevators towards the front side of the building. Great for getting your steps in, but convenient it is not... Next, the water pipes/toilets can be loud, expect to have some of that noise get into the room proper if you do not close the bathroom door. And finally, if you are in a room facing the courtyard, make sure to keep your blinds drawn, the rooms straight across can see right into your room, there may also be noise coming from the courtyard where the pool is. Overall great value for what you get, we would definitely stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Sheraton San Gabriel and would definitely return! First Impressions: Despite our flight delay and late arrival, we were warmly welcomed by John at the front desk, which set a great tone for our visit. The hotel itself is stunning, with a grand lobby that feels on par with a five-star property. This was our first time staying here, and we were immediately impressed. Location: Situated in an Asian neighborhood, the hotel is within walking distance of numerous fantastic restaurants and shops. While we didn't have time to explore this trip, we definitely will next time! Check-In & Room: Check-in was a breeze, even late at night. As Bonvoy Gold members, we inquired about an upgrade but were pleasantly surprised to learn that we had already booked the highest-level suite. Our 6th-floor suite was incredible--spacious, modern, and extremely clean. The suite easily accommodates a family, featuring two bathrooms, a living area with a desk, a sink, a fridge with Starbucks coffee items, and a coffee machine. We also appreciated having two televisions and a huge master bathroom The view of the courtyard and pool was beautiful. Service & Amenities: During our stay, we opted out of daily housekeeping but found service to be prompt and efficient. When we requested extra towels, they were delivered within minutes. One of the highlights of our stay was access to the Club Lounge on the 6th floor, where we enjoyed complimentary breakfast each morning. The spread included two types of eggs, breakfast meat (sausage or similar), breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit, coffee, and juice. While the breakfast was good, the selection remained the same throughout our stay, and we would love to see a little more variety, especially for those who don't eat pork (perhaps chicken sausage, turkey bacon, French toast, pancakes, or more fruit options like berries). A special shoutout to Mark from the Club Lounge, who was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we were well taken care of--Mahalo, Mark! He deserves to be recognized for his exceptional service. Parking & Checkout: We had a rental car and used the parking garage ($18/night), which was very convenient. We loved that we could take the elevator directly from the garage to our floor. Checkout was effortless via the Marriott Bonvoy app. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and we would highly recommend the Sheraton San Gabriel. Looking forward to our next visit!

Beautiful hotel, great location, spacious garage. There was a beautiful grand piano hidden by the elevators- I just thought it could be used more. But maybe it's just the timing of my visit. There was only one thing that I didn't like - light sensor by the bed. It was blinking brightly all night long making it impossible to sleep. Be ready to use one of your pillows as a blinking light cover. Other than that- great stay.

12/25/2025 - This Sheraton Club Lounge has a dedicated conference room and finally opened its Happy Hours from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in 2024. This is my main reason to come here to celebrate Christmas. The upgraded Hors d'oeuvres will begin next Monday, 12/30/2024. Hopefully, it will live up to the Sheraton Club standard. There are only five hotels in the city of San Gabriel, and I selected Sheraton for the main reason of a Club Lounge access while the other four do not have it at all. I enjoyed a heated outdoor swimming pool today. Unfortunately , it does not have a hot tub to enhance the staying experience. The bed comfortable level is a 5-star rating. I am impressed with the quality of the guestroom, especially its bathroom that is better than almost all Marriott namesake hotels in the U.S., e.g., 1) the lights will be automatically turned on upon entering the bathroom and turned off after no one is there to save the electrical bill; 2) the bathroom wall has a nice patterned either stone or expensive tiles in comparison to a water resistant synthetic materials per Marriott standard, which immediately makes me feel cozy and luxury feeling - watch a short video for reference. I had a great check-in experience with Arely who acted like The Ritz-Carlson front desk check-in staff with a professional quality skill, etc. I will come back in 2025 to make a quota to achieve my Elite status. For Marriott Bonvoy Elite or higher membership status, you may select this hotel for a better overall value because only a few hotels offers M Club or Club Lounges access among 370 hotels in the City of Los Angeles. On the day of 12/25/2024, its guestrooms occupancy rate at 92% is a testimony of its management success! Note: I almost give the hotel as a 5-star rating but hold it back due to missing a hot tub.

I've stayed plenty of nights with Sheraton. And love it every time, if there are any issues that arise Guest Services are on it quickly. We usually come about 2-3 times a year. Parking is $18 per vehicle per day with unlimited entry. Located in a residential area, you're allowed to park on the street during the day without permit. No parking on street without a permit between 2am-6am or you will be fined by city of San Gabriel. You may purchase a temporary overnight parking permit for $4 per night from a permit vending machine at the San Gabriel Police Department or the San Gabriel Parks and Recreation Department. I would advise to call front desk before arrival if you have any questions or concerns regarding your room. You may request for specific accommodations but it's not always guarantee depending on availability and other circumstances. Microwaves are availability upon request and availability, they only have a handful floating around. Suites give you Lounge access on the 6th floor which includes breakfast. Monday-Friday is until 9am and Saturday-Sunday is from 6am-11am. There usually is country potatoes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, some sort of protein, oatmeal, pastries like danishes, cut fruit, cereal, fresh squeezed oj and toast section. When breakfast isn't being served you're able to access lounge and there are select soda and water in fridge along with some fruits, nuts, Chex mix and granola bars. Lealiz is always extremely helpful and friendly, her hospitality is through the roof. She so personable and always makes sure you have what you need.

Hot water kettle and ice ensemble. Didn't use it because it looked yucky.

It was......barely ok. It has the ability to be better, and I am sad it wasn't. I was here in March earlier this year. I will corroborate some of the recent critical comments. - Yes they have this really strong perfume smell in the elevator lobby. I don't know why. It might've smelled better if it was less intense, but it was REALLY strong. I can see why it would aggravate certain guests. - Yes the water pipes and lighting are really loud and made noise all day and all night. I would've reached out to guest services about it but I was mostly out and about exploring the 626 and the rest of Los Angeles that I didn't let it bother me too much. - Yes the soap/shampoo/conditioner were very masculine smelling. Not a big deal for me, but it should be neutral for all guests. I actually prefer the soap/shampoo/conditioner from the Cosmopolitan hotel in Vegas, even though it's kind of on the girlier side (I could give two sh*ts, if it smells good, it smells good!). - This hotel is very Asian. In both good ways and bad ways. Good ways like if you want a Chinese wedding, and/or to be nearby a lot of Asian restaurants/businesses, it's definitely worth considering. Bad ways like the fridge in the room smells like remnants of durian fruit. - Yes the in room kettle looked gross and disgusting (in the inside of the kettle). I ended up just walking downstairs to the Starbucks and asking for hot water there. They really need to do a better job at cleaning, this is still a fairly new hotel that was built just before the pandemic started, and was closed since then, which only reopened recently. There is no excuse for it to be lackluster in cleanliness and not have the appropriate repairs/maintenance to be done. Overall it was nice and quiet, and the room was spacious. I would love to come back (and a part of me wants to), but I think it's better to keep trying new hotels and gaining more experience/exposure to more of their offerings. I would only recommend this place if they fixed the listed issues above.

This is actually quite a beautiful venue. I came for a Chinese styled wedding and they had a 10 course menu. The ceremony/reception area is quite large and can easily host 300 people, the wedding I went to had 200 and there was still plenty of room. The only negative that we experienced was the servers were taking the food away wayyyyy too early and throwing it away (easily could've boxed it up or something), sadly such a waste of good food. They didn't ask they just took it to clear the table. Besides that, a great spot to host a big celebration.

During our 2025 Wildfire evacuation, we were incredibly fortunate to find the Shearon SG had availabilities. We were impressed by the hotel's overall quality and the exceptional kindness of the staff. They were understanding of our situation and even offered us an early check-in, which was a huge relief. This hotel is a true 4-star experience, with all-new amenities and a noticeable level of sophistication. The Club Lounge was a standout feature, providing a wonderful space with complimentary breakfast, coffee, and afternoon snacks--it truly set the Shearon apart from other hotels. While the $18 overnight parking fee is a bit on the higher side, it felt worthwhile given the secured and impeccably clean well-lit parking area. Our room (Corner King Suite) was HUGE with table for 8. Bathroom was spacious and luxurious, and the shower was fantastic, although the rainfall design resulted in slightly weaker water pressure. The location is ideal, lots of great restaurants nearby. The convenience of a Starbucks in the same building was a plus, though we rarely needed it, as the Lounge's high-quality coffee was great and FREE for members. The gym was also far superior to what we've experienced at other hotels, with a comprehensive range of equipment (though perhaps lacking slightly in leg-specific machines). Shearon SG is pet-friendly. It feels great seeing dogs in the hotel :) Shearon SG provided us with a true safe haven during a difficult time. Highly recommended!!

Okay.... Was raised in San Gabriel for a bit and was in the area for a few days to visit family I haven't seen in a loooooong time. I'll cover the "you need to improve this" first, then the good. I smelled weed in the underground garage every time we went to get the car. Really? It stinks. Unknown long hair and wipe marks in the bathroom sink and shower. Do better cleaning the rooms! Contradictory pricing and language issues. We saw the relaxing 30 minute massage listed as $68 on the video display in the lobby - sweet deal. Went to the spa and no one spoke English and they showed us a laminated price list for the same massage as $88. That's BS, get it straight. And I know the community has moved from white/latino to mostly Asian (honestly cool, need to come back for a restaurant tour), but why advertise the spa services and I can't even communicate with the staff? Lastly, I went to the bar. I fully expected to pay a high premium for anything. I got a double shot of Don Julio Anejo tequila. #1 I've had it before and it tasted watered down. #2 over $60. What...a...rip...off. 'Nuf said. You have got to do better! Now, what you're doing right: Good location. Safe practices, layered secured access and parking. Super nice and patient staff. Quiet. Your staff - doing really well here! Everyone we interacted with was GREAT! We were surprised at how quiet and what a good sleeping experience our stay was. Quiet = good. I started at a 3.8 and am moving it to 3.9. Get your stuff together at the bar and the spa. That was all junior varsity stuff... Keep it quiet and keep that staff!

This review is only based on the dining experiences. I was invited to a banquet. The banquet room is grant, and I am glad that I dressed up for the occasion. Chinese food was served. There are more than enough food for each table for sure. My favorite dish is the first appetizer: Chinese BBQ platter. It was made perfectly that the meat was very tender and flavorful. Servers were very attentive, and they often checked on us to see if we need anything. They also put the leftover food on a smaller plate in order to make space for more dishes. Underground self-serve parking is available at a reasonable price. Great dining experience overall.

Pool appears long in this photo but it's a small pool. Just enough for kids to play at 3ft and 4ft at deepest.

My friends have been er been here, so I felt this was the best location especially since one of us is Chinese from Malaysia. It was nice because I was able to park at the Hilton honors spaces when available. At check in, Vincent was soft spoken, and courteous. He made sure my room was feather free as requested due to my asthma. Our room was ready when we arrived. Great since we were hungry, and we could drop off our luggage in the room before heading out. I always check round with my blacklight to see the cleanliness of a room. But the only reason I didn't give a five star this time was before I even checked with my blacklight, the curtains were open, and we saw dust caked on the dresser, lamp stand, and too of headboards. Unacceptable since two of my friends have allergies, and as an asthmatic I am allergic to three different dust mites. I called Vincent at the front desk and he immediately sent someone up. Now the train I have a four star and not a there is because of Linda from housekeeping. She said she understands because she has brothers who are asthmatic. When she saw how dusty the room was she also was appalled by the condition. Linda did a great job. Although we left a small to in the room for whoever will be cleaning next, we left something extra for Linda at the front desk. That being said the bathrooms were clean. Beddings clean but bed a little too hard for my liking. The other gals told me it was fine for them. We were going to try their dim sum restaurant downstairs, but we were pretty dim summed out, so we tried something different nearby.

The rooms were clean, lotion and soap provided.
