I needed to make an appointment with a specialist (Dr. Tack), who happens to be a co-founder of MAHV. He refuses to see me, claiming I was the one who was rude, and so 'would not be a good fit" for the practice. I was never given the opportunity to present my side of the story. I was so thoroughly impressed by him that I asked if he would consider being my primary care physician and he said that he would have to think about it. Three days later he called me personally to say that he would be happy to be my PCP......and he remains so to this day as both myself and my wife's PCP. His nurses and office staff are outstanding as well. He is smart, articulate, caring and most of all a fantastic listener. He takes a very "down to earth" approach to everything and will explain anything that needs explaining until you completely understand him. As just one example of his above and beyond caring......My wife was in hospital for a problem completely unrelated to any of Dr. Tacks provided services, yet he found time to visit her in hospital two separate times while she was there. This man should be used as the prototype for all Physicians. My only regret is that I didn't connect with him much earlier in my life. He truly is something special.

My experience was abysmal. New York state law says they must bring a patient into a room within 30…read moreminutes. Almost every appointment I've been there, I had been kept waiting 1 to 2 hours before being escorted from the waiting room into a patient room, and this is after I'd made repeated inquiries about the waiting. I even call prior to my appointment to see if they are running late or not. When I am finally brought into a room, there are no explanations or anything beyond that they are "running late." Some patients are disabled and get there early and then are kept waiting for hours, watching others come in after and get seen first. That is inexcusable. I have personally hand delivered copies of my own medical documentation such as labs, X-rays, doctor's notes, nurse's notes, and MRI results, yet NONE of this was ever filed into my chart, and my PCP had no record of it! Sounds odd to me... I had to bring my own copies in again and I personally gave them to my PCP (who made sure they got filed). This facility screwed up scheduling my appointments and kept me waiting on days when my doctor wasn't even there. They say they've called but I received no messages from them...I don't recommend this facility but that's just an opinion. It's not the doctors. I did not appreciate the office staff who make this practice such an unpleasant and stressful experience. And if anyone relies on busing, the schedule to and from the facility is not too convenient either.

He is friendly,…read moreanswers my questions, reviews my labs with me, and generally treats me like a human not just a patient. His office is also friendly and efficient. They get my prescriptions and renewals to the pharmacy when needed. When I have urgent issues, they get me in quickly.
