Kids had fun throwing rocks. A nice quick stop. 5 to 10 minutes then continue on the road to see bigger waterfalls. Not much here. Stop to rest if you have time otherwise keep on driving.

This review focuses more on the campgrounds. There are tons of campgrounds in the area, but this is a great option! The sites are large and spread apart. There are no tent pads but there is plenty of room to set up all your stuff. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring. There are no bear concerns so you don't have to take as many precautions. You can also head straight into the gorge from some of the campsites. The bathrooms have lights, water, flush toilets, and showers. They were very clean while we were there and spacious. There's also plenty of dumpsters for trash. You can purchase firewood at the registration office, where they also have maps, guides, and useful info. It's a great local camping option.

Love this town! Came with my boyfriend (interracial same sex couple) after walking Watkin's Glen…read morepark (breathtaking!). The impressive Montour falls draws the eye. This Thursday, there was a farmer's market with quality bakery items, cheeses, meats, honey, and produce. People were incredibly friendly and initiated conversation regularly. Very relaxed atmosphere with pride in their region (finger lakes, wine country, nascar setting, emerald necklace, etc.)

We camped here for three nights and it was great. The other campground (Watkins Glen race track)…read morewere very wet because of so much rain, but this campground was dry! Good gravel roads, spacious site, and full hookups made it easy. Very close to down town, kids park across the street, and right at the bottom of the lake; so close to everything. The staff was very nice and accommodating as well. Great place to stay!

Campground is convenient to Watkins Glenn SP, but the sites are gravel and weeds, no laundry…read morefacilities , and the bathrooms are disgusting!!! They leave the doors to the bathroom open all day & night, vagrants and folks using Marina across the street use the bathrooms, they are not ADA compliant (there's no wheelchair stall), a wheelchair cannot fit into the shower area, there's hundreds of bugs all over the toilets, floors, sinks, etc.. The sanitary napkin disposal boxes have not been emptied, and there are spiderwebs covering the ceilings, windows and in every corner. The lights are filled with 1,000's of bugs! The majority of sites are permanent residents, and they'll tell you that their rent keep going up, but no improvements are being made. For almost $100/night, you don't get your monies worth!
