This center has one large building, which is like a dorm style. The surrounding is beautiful and I must admit, its one asset they have that's a selling point. Like a retreat planning, a site visit is a must and unfortunately, we weren't able to do a site visit, had we done a site visit, then I think we would have reconsidered our decision. Per contract, someone was supposed to contact me a month prior to start of our retreat... so when I didn't hear from them with two weeks to our retreat date, I called and I was informed that they had emailed me with the information. Well, since I didn't receive the email, I asked them to resend it, the next day I called and informed them I again did not receive it, they sent it to my work and it came through. To be honest, if you haven't heard from your customer in so many number of days, wouldn't you want to call them and check to ensure the email was received?? Some things that I did not like about the facilities - The facility is little older then other retreat centers that I have been too. The bathrooms only had one shower each and additional showers were located on the first floor, they need more lights on the 1st floor.. - dining time, you are only allotted 30 minutes to eat... talk about rushing people in and out... I'm sure they had their reasons, but we should at least be given 45 minutes (oh and I didn't know the 30 min policy until I got there). - I asked for an overhead screen, they didn't inform me there would be a charge... so yeah, $15 charge was added. - if you have one person stay in a double room, they will charge you higher fee, even though you had the rooms blocked. Overall, while the staff were friendly, not sure if I would recommend Colombiere Center for next years retreat... but I do urge everyone to do a site visit.

Ok, so sadly, I only have wedding pictures and videos, which I won't post here because this shows more about the wedding and not the golf club itself. So for that, I apologize. This is a review regarding our experience having a children's party. Overall, I would say I am…read morehappy with what we received for the cost - compared to other places to have a kids party. If you're not wanting to spend top dollar for your kids party, then this would be a good option. The kids had a blast, the staff was polite & overall we were pleased with the day. However, here are a few warnings... They are clearly understaffed. You, as the host, will be facilitating all aspects of your party. Do not expect any customer service beyond the bare minimum. They said they would call 3 days before the party to confirm head count & menu, they never called. I called all day 2 days prior, finally made one last call before heading there in person & they finally answered. During the party, I had to basically take care of everything. Never once did anyone come and ask if we needed anything. I had to walk away from our party, find an available staff member (which usually ment waiting in a line) & ask for them for every single thing. To bring pitchers of drinks (if refills were needed I had to go to the bar & get them refilled myself), the food was late coming out so I had to go find a person to bring out the food (it had clearly been sitting in the back, it was barely warm), etc. Do not expect to be sitting and enjoying your kids during their party or socializing with guests very much, you will be making sure everything is being handled & walking around looking for staff or waiting in line. I will say, all of my interactions with staff were polite and positive. They are handling the chaos of the place very well. At the end of the day, it was nice to not have to clean up or have a party at our home, but I don't feel I was able to really enjoy my guests or experience the party with my kids because I was running around making sure everything was being taken care of. My advice to the bowling alley would be to assign a host/staff member specifically to facilitate all the parties to make sure everything is running smoothly. Actually check on your guests who are spending hundreds of dollars in your business. A little customer service could go a long way.

"Review #500" :-D…read more October 31, 2024 On Friday October 4th I attended a Beautiful Fall wedding at The Pine Knob Mansion for My Dear and Close friends Phil & Jessica. The main road entrance starts with a welcome sign to Pine Knob Golf Course. The winding road will lead you pass the greens with golfers, then several expensive residential homes. There are two venue banquet buildings called The Carriage and this one called The Pine Knob Mansion. Both have valet parking service at their entrance doors. My photos attached will show how wonderful this place was from start to finish. The ceremony was outside in the Garden Gazebo area overlooking the ski lifts and property of Pine Knob with fold up chairs on the grass area. This venue can accommodate all seasons of the year for many memorable and personal events. The outdoor brick patio was large enough for both cocktail hour after ceremony and again in the evening with a DJ for music and dancing. The Bride and Groom performed their special dances together on it plus with their parents. The wedding and party time continued till midnight! The efficient servers were very attentive when eating the plated sit-down dinner. They also served refill of waters quickly too. The Formal banquet room was very elegant with Chiavari Chairs, along with great lighting. Check out my attached photos of Jess and Phil's special and lovely wedding which expresses it all! The Food was Fantastic and Oh My Deeeelicious along with Great plate presentation! This location can be found on The Knot and has different price packages based on your event for food and desserts. My Friends Phi and Jess opted to bring in their own seasonal desserts with cider and donuts along with mini parfait desserts for that special Fall Style Theme. A beer is $8 and a cocktail is $12- $15... but the entry fee for kids is only $15 so... tradeoffs. Food is okay; soft pretzel tasted a little off but the breadsticks were good and it seemed like everyone was ordering pizza. Will have to try that next time. Games are also expensive; you have to load a card and most games cost about 40 pts per play, lasting from seconds to about a minute. Not a ton of games but enough. Also offer a family restroom for changing and children which is good. It's in a strip mall with a grocery store and a golf sim too and on a main road. Easy to access. Overall it's my go to play place for the kids and plenty of seating and overlook spots for parents.
