Everything was so beautifully laid out for everyone to see what an amazing man Jeff was, what an awesome life he lived. You could feel the kindness and sense of thoughtfulness and professionalism that went into each and every photograph and display. I want to be sure to mention that Jeff passed away while hiking the Appalachian Trail in Maine and it was his wish to be cremated. It was also Jeff's wish to be buried at a military base. John Vincent took care of all matters beginning with the cremation in the state of Maine to the Celebration of Life in Plymouth to the burial in the Cape Cod National Cemetery. Although the funeral home eventually agreed to refund and reprint the prayer cards, the overall lack of compassion, communication, and attention to detail made an already difficult time much harder. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Cartwright Funeral Home.

I called Pet Rest and spoke with the owner, Ed Hildebrandt. He explained the process and quoted us a price. I told him that we were gathering several different quotes, but that I would call back shortly. We decided to go with Pet Rest, so I called Ed again and told him that we would like to come the following morning with Lincoln for burial. Ed suggested a time that we couldn't be there, so I suggested a different time. Ed's response: "No. My initial reaction was to try to help you, but now you're making demands. I think you ought to find another cemetery." Then he hung up on me. At a sad time time when we were grieving over our lost pet, Ed's inconsiderate and undignified attitude left both my wife and me struck silent. The only good thing about this place is that Ed revealed his true colors before we committed our pet to his cemetery.

But what a beautiful, peaceful spot to be thankful for our country's founders. In all my visits to Plymouth and Plimoth Plantation, I have never walked through this cemetery; and I'm sorry it has taken this long. This was the site of the original fort built by the Pilgrims, so please stop for a visit after you hit Plimoth Plantation and see the replica of the fort. It will broaden your perspective.
