The people are friendly and helpful. The store is slightly smaller than most stores, but still have plenty to browse. The pricing is just OKAY to me. All in all, you know what you will get with a national hardware brand. The app is even fully functional with this location, so that adds to the experience. What you can't find in store, you can use the app to get things shipped to you. It's good to have another hardware store in Livingston to give Loews some competition.

Often they ask if help is needed when entering and I've had help finding items in the past. Evidently, they must really dislike cutting vinyl to not sell any that is right there in stock, with employees available.? They have a sign posted near the machine that they don't cut vinyl after 4, which an employee stated he gets off at 4 as he pushed the button for me to see one of the styles. Not a problem since it was 3:40. I didn't linger or need a complicated order. Just one cut across and I take the whole piece. I turned to say how many feet and he had walked off to go talk to the cashiers. I went over and asked to get flooring cut and one of the ladies said, "We don't cut after 3pm, but I can get you a quote." With the time changed from 4 to 3, it was then past their cutting time so I couldn't buy it. There were no other customers in sight, a couple other employees including the guy who cuts it standing right there. Not that it isn't a task any could do. No one offered to help, and I am not sure why it was an inconvenience or why the end time changed by an hour. I didn't mean to inconvenience them buy going into the store to buy something, so I won't again.

I had some trouble when I first bought this Hamilton Beach coffee maker. We received the wrong…read moremaker that didn't fit some of our "must-haves" and It was a Proctor-Silex, not a top-rated CR coffee maker. Thank you, Tommy (store manager) for taking care of this quickly. He made sure we received the coffee pot we initially ordered, and called to apologize for the mix-up. Tommy went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied customers. I thought they would, as I've never had anything but the very best luck with Ace Hdwr. I'm glad there is one in Cleveland TX. The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) recommends 55g of freshly ground coffee @200ºF per liter of filtered water (1000g). The water should take 2-8 minutes to go through the grounds and into the cup. If I want just one cup I measure out 8g coffee / 145g water. Heat your water to 200ºF and with the carafe removed, pour into fresh grounds and let it set for 2-6 minutes. At this point, I put the carafe back in and let the coffee start dripping into the carafe for perfect coffee again. This is the main reason this pot rates as high as it does with CR. It heats well and the sizes as shown on the pot being off a little bit isn't a problem that 5th-grade ratios won't solve simply and quickly.
