"Wow, can you believe THAT?" was actually spoken by my friend, referring to Eva's incredible hospitality and easy conversation. We consider ourselves lucky to have arrived just in the nick of time before the door was locked, and went away feeling like we'd made a new friend. This is one of those bars where one can buy a bag of ice or a twelver of beer from the cooler case. If you'd rather sit and stay a while, tables and bar stools will give you a perch to rest your laurels. Occasionally this place gets lively, particularly when a bunch of folks on bikes passes through. Nice folks on both sides of the bar make this a great little spot. Good dinners too, if you're hungry... but I can't ever seem to figure out the kitchen hours. Can't imagine you'd plan a trip to Pisek, but it's your loss. And if your travels bring you near, stop on and wash the bugs from your teeth with something cold here.

The newer staff (manager Marla, and possible assistant manager Calvin, bartender Tyler & Aaron, front desk Paul & Mark, & housekeepers Margie and family, plus cook Aj) are very sweet and friendly people. I myself no longer drink alcohol but do remember many many many good memories in this building and will never forget the friendships I have made along the way. Hunters come and book rooms weeks in advance every year starting from Oct 1st to Dec 1st. That is their busiest time of year bar none. But they are very loyal and return every year, over the years I've built friendships & memories with alot of them also. I miss that alot :( but my journey at this business has unfortunately ended do to lack of sobriety. I miss it everyday and wish things turned out differently and that is the honest truth. Go and support these people and you will not regret it I promise. You will have memories for years to come!
