Shelter is one of the many charity shops in the Costorphine area of Edinburgh. It was one of a number that I popped into a few days ago, which provided ample time to compare the facilities provided.
In terms of what the shop stocks, it's fairly standard charity shop fare - clothes, loads of books, CDs from a couple of decades ago. There's always a bargain to be had - I found Gladiator on DVD for a price that was so low I can't recall it! Shelter do a valuable work with the homeless and in housing generally, so are definitely a worthwhile cause. Some of their stock looked nearly new, and so you don't need to be continually worried about quality. Hunt around, and you may find something you like! read more
