The moment we walked in, we encounter weird stares from the man and woman behind the counter. Like they were suspicious of us. They never took their eyes off of us. Our daughter found 2 stuffed animals that she wanted and I found a teapot. My husband took the teapot to the counter. Our daughter (15) was hugging the the stuffed animals as she was trying to talk her dad into buying them. We finally agreed to let her get them when the guy walked up to us and said that he had been watching us on the cameras. He asked her to give him the stuffed animals. We told him that we were going to buy them but he kept insisting that she hand them over. It was a very weird experience. Very uncomfortable. I told him, I guess we look like hoodlems to you...paid him $97 to be treated like criminals. We'll never go there again.

the patton house is my all time favorite thrift store!! everything is so cheap and i always find…read moresuch nice things! a majority of my wardrobe consists of clothes i got here. one half of the store is a gift shop with crafts and books made by local springville artists and the other half is the thrift shop. there's also some books out on the porch. they restock on seasonal clothing during summer and autumn. the volunteer workers are such kind and friendly women. not to mention how beautiful the exterior is; outside in the backyard is a lovely gazebo and some flower bushes. since the shop is ran by the springville community club, they often have events going on. i recently signed up to help out with the book talk tea event. i hope to soon join the club myself one day
