My husband and I began our fertility journey 2 years ago. I wish desperately we had found Dr…read more Dorsett sooner. She was incredibly helpful, compassionate, and informative. Dr. Dorsett spent our entire first appointment explaining what our fertility issues were and how we were going to address them. I appreciate that we worked out a plan as a team. It was reassuring to be able to truly discuss our concerns with her. Her staff is excellent. They are possibly the friendlies staff I have ever worked with. They went above and beyond to help my husband and I with whatever we needed. At one point, one of the nurses called me after hours, just to return a phone call I'd made earlier that day. I was very impressed with the dedication and compassion she showed. During our fertility journey, which once we met Dr. Dorsett was relatively short, we were loved and supported at every step. During each appointment, Dr. Dorsett or one of her nurses, would take their time answering all our questions and explaining what was happening. They also took the time to reassure us and help ease our fears. They were like our fertility family. The road the rollercoaster of emotions with us. Probably the only negative was the wait time for appointments. We generally waited 45+ minutes for our appointments. It was a long time; however, it was understandable. Each of her patients deserves the time and dedication we received. Sometimes the person in front of you is getting devastating news. I appreciate that Dr. Dorsett and her staff never rushed these patients. I think that speak volumes about the levels of care they provide. Everyone receives the best care. We are expecting our 1st baby this October and I know we wouldn't be at this point without Dr. Dorsett. If we have issues with baby #2, I know we will be visiting Dr. Dorsett's office again.

The only reason I am giving this review even 2 stars is for Dr Dorsett herself. I found her very…read morenice and attentive when my husband and I visited her some years back. However her office staff was extremely rude to us, and hung up purposefully on me several times after I called without any provocation from me whatsoever. I have always thought that the dr's office staff is a direct reflection on the dr and we were not very happy. Dr Dorsett is a good dr, but I surely hope they have a better trained office staff at this point....for other patients' sake.

This doctor almost killed me back in 2014. I was having classic signs of heart failure when I was…read morepregnant and kept dismissing me, telling me it was normal. I ended up delivering my baby 6 weeks premature. A week later after having my follow up at his clinic, my swelling and SOB got worse. His nurse, Sylvia, told me to take some lasix and eat some bananas and drink lots of water, and the swelling will go away. Mind you, if I would have done this, I would of died from fluid overload. I ended up going to the ER and they rushed me in. I needed a blood transfusion, IV lasix, and had an echocardiogram done. They found that my left ventricle of my heart was only working at 15%. I lost roughly 40lbs of fluid in the week they put me in the CICU. I missed the first two weeks of my babies life because of this asshole not listening to his patient, when I specifically stated "I can't breath" "I can barely walk without gasping for air" "my swelling is at 3+ pitting edema." Total disregard to my symptoms. Oh and he's had like 2-3 other patients in the past that had this. You'd think he'd know the signs of peripartum cardiomyopathy. I hope he loses his practice.

It just doesn't get any better than Dr. Lampkin and his staff. They are caring and professional. I…read moretrust them and know that they will take care of me. I moved away from Lubbock a few years ago, but I still go to Dr. Lampkin for my yearly checkups.
