My family have been doing business with Shelly for more than 30 years, and all I can say is that she screwed my family over and over again. Now that I am adult and understand life and car insurance policies, we realize that they have been cheating us. We are in the process of taking our business else where. she is losing 6 life insurance policies, as well as 3 car insurance policies from us. Untruthful, deceiving, and dishonest are the words that I will use to describe this business. Although Farmers is a big name in insurance, doesn't mean that it has the right product or insurance policy that fits you. My family brought auto and life insurance from Shelley for 10+ years and just find out it's a rip off! My dad's car was totaled in an accident, it should be remove from the policy (why pay insurance on a car not exist?), but Shelley keep the policy for another 6 months, which do nothing but cost more money. Life insurance is worst, when my family brought the whole life insurance from Shelley 10+ years ago, she claimed that this plan is wonderful, it can save money, you don't have to make payment after 10 years blah blah blah, but the truth is, the COI (cost of insurance) is so high, the saving won't cover the insurance cost and 10 years later, we end up with almost nothing! My mom has no choice but to discontinue the life insurance. For those of you who have life insurance will know how horrible it is to cancel a life insurance plan after 10 years with little money left in the saving plan. It's like the Bernard Madoff scam in the insurance industry! When we try to confront with her of course she denied everything. "it's the way it is...", "every insurance are the same...". one of my new goals in life is to be okay with telling someone they're wrong and demanding my money back. I need to voice my opinion. not just for myself, but for others, so they don't go through a similar ordeal. i feel for the person who messed up. but it's not my fault they did something wrong. I should not have to absorb that cost as a consumer. if you tell me you will give me a discount for having my degree, you should not be able to do take backs for the past four months after finding out you gave me an incorrect discount. who's fault is that? only yours. I agreed to the discounted price. I found a better price and only stayed with you, my current service, bc you agreed to bring down your price. back dating my bill and charging me for something I did not agree to is deceitful and very poor taste. I understand that you were trying to be nice in getting me the best deal, thank you. but I was always truthful about the title of my degree and was given a discount. if you were unsure about the discount you should have been upfront about it and not given it in the first place. I am extremely unhappy with this service. after hearing about my charged card I left a voicemail at 6:30 am with my policy number and phone number. I called at 9am and 9:05am but there was no answer even though you open at 9am. I did not receive a call back. I had to call back after 11am and no one apologized for not returning my call. saying that it's common practice to back-charge does not make it right. don't shrug your shoulders at me and blame it on another department's policy. read more
