After 3 years of being in my condo, the kitchen sink decided to clog up. One of the main pipes under the sink decided to become loos and as a result water started gushing out all under the sink. I needed the issue to get fixed ASAP and shellback did just that! Our technician , David, was great. He was onetime, very professional and knowledgeable. He assessed the situation first and then was able to fix it within an hour. He then run multiple tests on the sink and pipes and made sure all was working and good to go. I had a quick bidet installation too that due to my wrist injury I wasn't able to complete it myself. He was kind enough to help me with that as well ( free of charge). Our water heater luckily started making really loud vibrating sounds from the water pan (and even luckier that we were home) so my husband and I ran into the garage and noticed what it was. Our water heater had water in the pan and so we called around quickly to various locations. Left messages to a company we used before and also to Shellback. Shellback called us back 1st thing in the morning to let us know they received our message and he would get back to us as soon as he got into the office to look at the schedule to see exactly when someone could get out to us but assured me that I was in his books. He told us most likely around 10am. Sure enough he called us when he got settled in at the office and took our information. He was very pleasant and I really liked how he gave us a price on what it would cost. Doug came to our home around 10am. He was such a pleasant guy. We highly recommend Shellback Plumbing as I felt like we were taken care of and given all the info needed to assure everything was done to code without selling us unnecessary things. He gave me a detailed quote for the tankless water heater and quote for a regular water heater if we decided replace the original heater. It took four visits to complete the job of replacing a toilet bowl flange (395.00) and reseating the toilet. The first visit was positive. Aiden showed up on time and was very polite. He left and was going to come back another day and finish the job. He did not show up but another plumber from Shellback came. I was quoted (195.00) from the main office to put the toilet back on. He asked what I was quoted and then said he would not do it for that amount. He said there was work on the flange that Aiden had not completed so he would have to charge more for that. I told him I had already paid for that job would not pay for it twice. He left. Aiden came back a few days later and completed the job. Within minutes after leaving the toilet was making loud noises and it had not been used yet. The toilet never made these noises prior to them working on it. Aiden came back and said the inside flapper and valve needed replaced and it would be an additional (195.00). At this point I told him that I will get another plumber because the prices on this are just getting out of control. This is by far the most expensive plumber I have ever used. The reason I'm leaving a negative review is because I feel like I was being taken advantage of. I called another plumber and in three minutes he had the problem fixed. No parts needed to be replaced and it was just a minor adjustment. He didn't even charge me for the service call but asked when I need a plumber next time to think of him. I will. read more

5 stars because they saved me a ton of money. Previous place I had called had tried to sell me a new toilet without even looking to see if there was anything stuck in there. Shellback came to the rescue and pulled out a toy my son had flushed down the toilet. I have only one critique for shellback; punctuality. I got a text that the plumber was on his was about 1 hour and 30 minutes before he came. This was before my appointment time, too. So I raced home to meet him and he didn't show up until way later. He was very nice and thorough so it made up for it. But hopefully, next time, they message a bit closer to actual arrival time. Still giving them 5 stars because the service was awesome! My one star rating is not based on their work but their customer service. I had someone come out on Saturday to take a look at putting in new faucets in two sinks in the bathroom and a new faucet combo in the shower. He told me he would send the estimate to my landlord by the end of the day. I had not heard from him so Monday afternoon I called and talk to somebody he said they would return my phone call as soon as they talked to the plumber. No response. I called again on Wednesday to see if I could get them to respond to me. I talk to a woman who promised for sure she would call me back today after I told her it already not gotten a call back and this has been waiting since Saturday. Again she did not call back. I did send them a message via their website explaining I would be giving them a yelp review for not following through with me. I am gonna move forward with another company. This is upsetting because I still have to wait for my shower and sinks to be fixed. Terrible ***RESOLUTION*** Shellback plumbing did get back to me this morning as well as answering this review, I appreciate their honesty and apology so I will be moving forward with them and having them do the work. Our kitchen sink was clogged and my faucet and soap dispenser were very loose. I called Shellback and they said a technician would be here today. The technician, Kevin, arrived within one hour of my call. Kevin was very professional, explained what he was doing and gave me a quote which was very reasonable. Kevin fixed the faucet and the soap dispenser. He then cleared the drain. Kevin was very quick and efficient and performed quality work. After he was done he cleaned up and the only way you could tell he was here was that everything was working. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the work done. So in short, Kevin was courteous, prompt, efficient, clean, and highly skilled. I would recommend Shellback Plumbing to anyone with plumbing or drain issues. Needed a gas line repurposed so my dishwasher could fully open past the oven door. Steve was a stud who did it and repatched the drywall like it was his specialty. We bought a new refrigerator and when delivered the delivery guy said we needed a Plummer to fix the water spigot so he couldn't install even though the spigot had been working all these years. After several weeks of waiting for our insurance company to buy the refrigerator, long story, we had Shellback Plumbing come out to fix the spigot. Shellback said our spigot was working fine, which it was! We could have easily been told yes indeed the spigot needed to be fixed. My other plumbing company wanted to charge me $150 service charge to come out and light my pilot light, and then when it didn't stay lit wanted to charge me another $150 to come back. That's when I called Shellback. They told me they wouldn't have charged me just to light a pilot light. Their customer service is wonderful. After Aaron came out gave me his opinion about what needed to be done, and spent all day replacing my water heater with a tankless one, he then told me how to get a rebate. Used twice - will DEFINITELY use again! The first time I called, I called from So AZ since my mom lives in Valencia and managed to clog up her garbage disposal. After reviewing a number of plumbers on Yelp, I decided to give them a call to help fix my mom's plumbing issue. According to my mom, the gentleman that came over was VERY polite and respectful, and very fast. In addition, everything was cleaned up when he left. The price was reasonable, too. The second time I used them (also at my mom's house) was this past Friday. My mom's toilet handle was wonky (making the toilet very hard to flush), and one of the bathrooms upstairs had an issue when you turn the shower on, water would still come out of the tub faucet, so water was being wasted. The guy that came over was amazing. Found the exact toilet lever I needed (and only one was in stock, but thank goodness!), and put a new spout/faucet on the tub and sealed it. The workmanship was great, and the price was very reasonable again. They wear booties in the house, so you don't have to worry about your floors getting messed up. They are efficient, clean up after themselves, friendly, reasonably priced, available when you need them and just downright good people. Thank you Shellback. We bought our Valencia Hills home in May 2022. We just purchased a new refrigerator for our garage that needed a fill line for the icemaker. We also had a faucet in the master bath (2- person vanity) for which the hot water on one sink was frozen closed (calcified). Erik from Shellback performed both tasks quickly and professionally. Needed help with a water heater that was installed by a previous owner -- it was no longer lighting and the pilot knob cracked. It was also covered in a heat shield so we couldn't even figure out what brand it was to troubleshoot. So we called Shellback Plumbing to help, because they had helped us about a month ago with a different toilet issue, which they quickly and efficiently took care of. This time they sent us Schuyler, who diagnosed the issue (the unit was literally 30 years old, 1991) and was able to get us a new water heater at a great price in line with other quotes we had received. Schuyler was kind, knowledgable, and really dang good at his job -- and we hope to use both him and Shellback for future plumbing needs. All of this was done same-day as calling, too! Used Shellback several times and they are always on-time (or even early!) and get the job done. This time I had them replace a leaking hose bib to start. Then I realized the house shut-off valve was almost buried so I asked if that could be addressed, too. Then was told about the bib mating with older PVC and there may be issues later so I asked him to replace the PVC with copper and he braced the pipes with an angle bracket secured to the brick wall.
