I just wanted to highlight what a lifesaver this esso can be based on it's location. This esso is…read morejust outside yorkdale and acts as an amazing buffer against almost running out of gas. It is right off the highway if you exit 401 to dufferin but I think it's real value is being realized due to the crazy gridlock that is yorkdale. Take today...I went to yorkdale to get some items and was low on gas. No problem I thought...I'll get it on my way out. But when I got to yorkdale with the lack of parking, the slow stop and go and crazy reckless drivers hunting for spots, I was literally driving around for 20 minutes just tp get in a spot. And when I got out, trying to get out of yorkdale is like trying to get out of skinny jeans...I assume you have lots of stops and lots of screaming in frustration.... Nevertheless, out came my galaxy s2, on went the yelp app and presto, there was esso 3321... While I am no car whisperer, I could swear I hear my car gasping for gas as I rolled into the gas station...and felt it grumble in satisfaction as I filled it to contentment... So to the imperial oil folks I say, well placed good sirs, well placed!

In the store, the focus is on cold drinks, auto accessories and thing like hats & gloves - not much snacks or grocery items compared to bigger Shell or Esso. However they do always have Sesame Snaps in stock - sometimes this is the only place within 5 km of my building where I can find Sesame Snaps at night! They also carry cheap, effective old school auto glass products Rain Vision & NeverFog which a lot of big gas stations don't sell anymore. Washroom is very basic but never nasty and it's always open. Note that at last check, Ultramar is not listed as a Top Tier gas seller. I'm not sure if this is due to not meeting the voluntary Top Tier standard for purity & detergency - though more likely not wanting to pay the costs of participating. Either way, just to be on the safe side I wouldn't suggest using Ultramar on a frequent basis if you have BMW, Audi or VW or any recent car with Direct Inection and/or Turbo technology (( though ironically you WOULD come here to get top-off oil for those cars because they sell synthetic Total in a wide range of grades you wouldn't find at most gas stations...)) Also note this station is built on somewhat of a raised mound, the driveways have a steep angle which can make for rough entry/exit for cars with regular or lower round clearance. If you're not driving a SUV or truck, you should take the entrances slowly & diagonally.

Since I haven't done my usual commute for work between Markham and Mississauga, I couldn't tell you when I last filled up my car's gas tank! Anyway, I remembered this Petro-Canada at Leslie and York Mills, and decided to pull in. It was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon, just before 2 pm. There was a sportscar at the pump across from the one I ultimately pulled up to. Gas was at 94.9 cents a litre. It has gone up a bit since I last filled up, but it's still pretty low under the circumstances. I used my 407 ETR card to get a discount on the price and my Petro-Points card to continue collecting points towards free stuff. I paid using a credit card at the pump. Everything went well. This station was clean. There was plenty of paper towel, which I used while touching the gas pump. It also has that lever that you can use to have the pump do all the work and you can rest your hand. This gas station has a convenience store. I didn't need anything, so I didn't go inside. It was doing pretty swift business. By the time I had left the place, there were four cars in front of it. There is also a car wash. I typically don't use them (I like the wand ones where I can get a workout and avoid swirl scratches on the paint), so I can't comment on it. I liked coming here. It was bright and clean. It also got me on my way to my next errand! (171)

Turning in here may seem like a bad idea though since it's right off of Bathurst, but I have never had any issues getting out of this location and making an immediate left turn at the next street.
