Speedway has a lot of pseudo-deli items now, along with all the roller food you could ever want. I decided to try a pepper jack tornado and since they were 2 for $2.22, I got two of them. As a snack, they're not bad. 85 grams and 220 calories, heavy on the bad stuff, of course. What, no salad on a stick? The line at the register was long and someone ahead of me was buying a bunch of stuff. She wanted to pay for the stuff with the Speedway cash cards she was buying, which led to a lot of confusion but she didn't explain anything ahead of time. Sure, I'd like to pay for cards with the cards! I'd be a millionaire, if I just had the million! Anyway, the cashier handled it really well and we all survived. She even took care of my transaction smoothly, including the coupon for a free drink and my 1000 point coupon from the transaction, which she added back to my card. Slick!

However today I had a "manager" named Kristina refuse to sell me cigarettes and order ALL of her employees not to do so either even though I have a valid ID because she was having a bad day. When I asked why, and presented my ID AGAIN, she made up a reason saying she doesn't have to sell anything to anyone that calls her out of her name. Being as it happened with a store full of people however, I decided the best course of action would be to call customer service to let them know the issue, so now she can explain to the district manager why she was having such a bad day that she decided to take it out on one of her customers. Funny thing, after the fact I actually had other people that I work with that go to the same store almost daily tell me that she's hateful to everyone - not just me, so apparently this is the norm. She definitely ruined this store for me. If I were you, I'd shop at the other Speedway right down the street unless you like drama and having others smear their shitty day on you to make them feel better about themselves. Nobody likes a bully. I will take a moment though to also review Speedway's customer service if you have a complaint or a question. They were AWESOME. Because of this incident, they added quite a few points to my account and apologized for the ladies behavior. I wish they didn't feel the need to apologize for someone else, but still, it made me feel that my input was valuable and that at the end of the day, the actual company does value the business that I give them.
