If your coming down Constitution towards town, its on your right and you have to do a bit of a U-turn to get into it. There's four pumps and it gets really busy at rush hour through the traffic. I've only filled up here a few times, mostly when its an emergency. This is because one time they made me pay before I filled up, which I hated. I know it's perfectly within their right to do this, but there no sign telling me and I was just shouted at over the tannoy. There's a very little shop inside selling the essentials, though I'd avoid that if I were you. I brought milk here once and it was off even though it said it was within date. A car wash had also just opened here as well. I don't know exactly how it works as the fore-core is slightly small and it narrows at one end. It's quite cheap though, it says that currently (June 2015) it's £2.50 for a wash, which is not too bad at all.

They do have offers but most things are still over priced for what they are, the sandwiches even though packaged do still seem get this stale texture to them which is remarkable. The meal deal at £4 is neither a deal or a meal, but the coffee deal is alright - £3 for a large coffee and a pastry or muffin. Whether you get that deal highly depends on the staff as they seem to forget their own offers so be vigilant so as not to miss out. It has a car wash, petrol pumps, FREE cash points and sells a small selection of magazines.

They also have 3 parking spots if you just need to pick up a coffee, newspaper, sandwich or whatever. I use them primarily for the excellent hand car wash and valet - quick, thorough and professional for a very reasonable price. Since I have a (by Brit standards) big SUV I have to pay the higher price but for a complete hand wash and dry, cleaning and vacuuming inside the prices is £15 - really not bad. Two thumbs up!

They've even got surprisingly good hot sandwiches. All the staff is really sweet and chatty but I may be developing a harmless crush on the adorable shy boy that works there. The cafe has been relocated to the new upper floor but is woefully short of toilets, a whole two and they're both intended for the diasbled however a wheelchair user would need to run the gauntlet of the tray carrying cafe customers and the closely placed tables in order to use them. To say the layout wasn't very well thought out is a bit of an understatement. Unfortunately the store also has a thriving home delivery service which has expanded into the carpark. Shoppers use the free parking spaces at Tesco to visit the newly built Eagles Meadow Shopping Mall which is opposite the store making parking in what was already a small carpark almost impossible on a saturday. At peak times you'll be queuing to get in and queing to get out.

So this petrol station does not use any energy from electricity companies.. infact it generates its own electricity by solar panels installed on its roof. M&S shop and 3 counters. Slow service sometimes but ok. Not competitive on Fuel price side as the nearest Shell pump is cheaper but its on the other side of the road by PCworld. Only rate this site because its truly green site. well kind of. as it uses solar electricity. I hope all the stations are designed like this soon. This BP site got its solar panels installed since it was newly built in 2000 i guess.

The shop is open 24 hours a day and is very useful for picking up bits a pieces when you can't be bothered going to the local supermarket. As with many similar shops the convenience is reflected in the price of goods sold and they are not as cheap as similar goods found elsewhere. The shop is well organised and clean. There are fridge cabinets and a frozen food section, as well as shelves well placed within the shop. The shop is always very well stocked and has a good variety of items on sale. The staff are friendly and are happy to help. They serve you promptly and are happy to help you bag up and shopping as necessary. This is a great place for the convenient purchase.

I have to say that I had a VERY disappointing shop yesterday. I arrived at the store slightly after…read moreopening at 8am for a quick shop with the intent of being home by 9am (we live 10 minutes away). I bought a total of 45 items for a total cost of £84.02 I used (as always) the smart shop option in which I scanned every item that I bought and had them in two big shopping baskets. When I tried to check out and pay the system wouldn't let me. An assistant came along and said that she needed to check a few items. I have had this 2-3 times before when the rummage through the bags and check 6-10 items to make sure that I hadn't "forgotten" to scan something or was trying to steal something. This time she was told to check EVERY item which involved completely emptying both bags and checking every item and then putting everything back in my two oversized bags. I missed my meeting and worse I was made to feel like a criminal. Had I scanned every single item yes! Was it a good experience- Hell no! Did I feel like a criminal? Yes! Very upsetting- is this level of investigation really necessary?!?!

Not the biggest Sainsbury's, but it is due for an expansion in the near future, which will see the demise of the local Home Electric shop, as the store expands and the petrol is moved to improve access. The store although fairly small, has a good variety of products including a fruit and veg section, a meat and fish counter, a bakery and a delicatessen area. The store is well set out and always well stocked and tidy, which is the main failing of other local supermarkets. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the shopping experience is pleasant and relaxing. This Sainsbury's also has a small cafe area, with a variety of seating, including leather sofas. It has a small, but tasty selection of food and cold drinks. But I don't know what they do to the hot drinks, the coffee and tea taste so bad, they are barely drinkable! This is probably my favourite supermarket and we go in valiantly trying the coffee every week in the vain attempt it will get better, but it doesn't. In every other aspect this is a five star supermarket, but the hot drinks could be so much better.
