After dodging the water offer, upsell offers for wipers, air filter, cabin air filter, and the best and highest oil. I was given 25% off for being a veteran, so I did the math in my head, which was about $72 including 10% tax. Nope, the invoice was $92.66. The guys never mentioned the total price until they ask for your card to pay. I asked why the price was so high? The price was for 5 quarts of oil and my car took 6.5 quarts, so I was charged a whopping $19.49 for a quart and a half of oil extra. I proceeded to Sam's Club and bought 6 quarts for $31. I had to take the car to Vaden Chevrolet in Pooler, GA, and their diagnostic report found the air filter installed wasn't the correct size -- it was too short to properly seat in the housing, with visible daylight around the seal, and was an aftermarket part. Their notes tied the DTC codes directly to the air filter not being seated correctly. I called Take 5 to explain what happened and was told it wasn't possible since they don't carry aftermarket filters -- customer service was not helpful in resolving it either. I've had to file a payment dispute to recover the cost of the follow-up diagnosis and repair. Disappointing experience -- bring your paperwork if you get service done here.
