The water for washing your windshield is often dirty. It backs onto Baseline, a very busy street with frequent accidents. Oh top of it, It is super busy during afternoon rush hours and people often drive opposite to the arrows indicated. I lose a little hope in humanity when I see that happen.

I had gone over the amount of $21.96. I went back into the gas stations and Inder told me had made a mistake and I said fine I would pay the $1.96. At that point your employee told me he had refunded my money but did not have the receipts to prove it. I said once again I would pay the $1.96. At that point Inder started yelling at me and saying I needed to pay. He then threatened to call the police. I told him go ahead and call the police I told him one last time I would pay the $1.96 or I was walking out the door. He started yelling at me again and came from behind the counter and physically was threatening and came within 2 feet of me. You cannot have staff who made a mistake threaten your customers and physically threaten them. His actions were borderline criminal in nature. This guy needs to be disciplined and retrained in customer service. I shop at this location frequently and have NEVER been treated like I was tonight.

Island Park Esso Service Centre - The only full service gas station in Ottawa, to my knowledge.

Did some Internet research, bought an OBD2 unit for $120 and found the problem myself... a loose gas cap. Now I'm questioning the new battery they installed as well as the brake job they did. Anyone working in a service station should know that any vehicle should be moving while turning the wheels. Otherwise, it's hard on the power steering pump, the entire steering system, as well as the transaxles. The attendant who drove my car out of the bay when I went to pick it up is either ignorant of this fact or trying to drum up more unnecessary repairs. Either way, he shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel of any customer vehicle. Never again.

This is one of the few in the Nation's capital, located at the corner of Island Park & Wellington, in Westboro. If you don't know what a full-service gas station is, it is the crackpot misfit in the Corporate Gas Station world. This service peculiarity provides a personal touch, that was once a cornerstone of the industry, where staff attended to customers in a uniform complete with a cap and bow tie. Staff filled the tank, checked my windshieldwasher fluid & oil, squeegeed the windows & lights, and offered to test my tire pressure, all while I grooved to the beat of my iPhone playlist. In the maze of retail corporations the litter the Capital City, I appreciate the old school atmosphere and service. Their service earns my loyalty.

The store that's connected to this Petro Canada is not that big (like say the one at Innes just west of Tenth Line, which is so much bigger). There's no slushie machine or anything like that. Just over-priced snacks and bottled/canned drinks, lol. And of course lottery tickets and cigarettes, although these are two things that I never buy. The only things I ever buy at gas stations are gas and slushies, haha. I like the convenient corner location, so depending on how heavy traffic is in what direction, I can exit going northbound on Clyde or going eastbound in Baseline. Note that you cannot go the opposite way (i.e. you cannot exit and turn directly south on Clyde or west on Baseline). Hey, it's a gas station, not too much to say, but I like that the prices are usually low for the area and the location is convenient for the direction I usually want to go after gassing up.
