I don't know how in the hell this gas station has a 4.1-star rating on Yelp. The only explanation I…read morecan come up with is that people who know the owner, or people who work here, are writing reviews just to inflate the rating and make this place seem like a reasonable stop. This is, by far, one of the worst gas stations you can stop at. I just paid $6.50 a gallon for regular unleaded. Every other gas station in the area is at least 75 cents cheaper. Since there aren't any other gas stations for about 15 minutes in either direction, they take advantage of people and charge an absurd amount for gas. Now, I wouldn't even mind paying the premium if the facilities were actually nice. They're not. They're horrible. The customer service is hit or miss, and sometimes the employees act like they have a complete disdain for helping customers. I've never been in the women's restroom, but I have been in the men's. It's disgusting--literally disgusting. There's a dark black slime covering the floor underneath and around the urinals. I'm sure it's mold. You can tell this bathroom isn't cleaned regularly. The difference between this place and a Love's, Pilot, or just about any other truck stop is night and day. How this place has a 4.1-star rating is beyond me. It's an absolute atrocity. The crazy part is they're always busy, so the owner is clearly making money. He's even charging more for regular gas than Love's. What's interesting is that diesel is almost a dollar cheaper than many other places, because they know truck drivers won't tolerate being overcharged--they'll simply drive somewhere else. But for regular gasoline, they take advantage of the fact that drivers don't have another option nearby and charge far more than they should. And again, if you're going to charge premium prices, at least provide a premium facility. The restroom is filthy. There wasn't any running water to wash your hands, no soap, no paper towels or tissue--nothing. It's honestly unacceptable. The owner should be ashamed. You're charging top-dollar prices while operating a property that's dirty, poorly maintained, and gives customers almost nothing in return.

It was either this or the king across the street. Didn't feel like a whopper or anything associated with it. So it turned out Aurora Tacos took our business. At the time I didn't expect anything great out of it. Had one of each. There was chicken, pork, and beef. Afterwards, I regret not taking any photos. It was so good, I have to say these are the best tacos I've had as far as I can remember. You must try. I wish I could tow their taco trailer back home with me.

The cashier has built a wooden shield on the counter with a hand written sign, "We sell mask vendemos mascaras" (yes, singular, not plural). The shop is nicely stocked with snacks, cold drinks, hot popcorn, hot dogs rolling about on the heated trays, and a bunch more. There is an adjoining I HOP. Next to the IHOP is a Popeyes. There are some electric chargers near the Popeyes. Not sure which brand they were. The gas pricing has a ok. Comparable to the multitude of other stations along in that area. The women's restroom is not great though. Older worn toilets and fixtures. No toilet seat covers. The majority of the interior toilet bowl enamel was chipped and worn making it look unclean. I entered several stalls thinking the toilets weren't cleaned (remnants) until I realized the attendant just cleaned them. Besides a restroom refresh, the TA could stand to refresh the parking lot space paint lines in the front lot. The lines are worn out and many drivers are driving straight through all willy nilly while cars are trying to park in the spaces. A bit chaotic.

Unfortunately, the women's restroom was not in great condition during our visit. The toilets were dirty, there was toilet tissue all over the floor, and there were no seat covers available. I'd recommend bringing your own seat covers or wipes, and making sure you grab tissue before using the restroom just in case. Honestly, great place to grab snacks and drinks... but you may want to use the restroom somewhere else nearby instead.

I was hungover and just in to grab us some waters before hitting the road back to the bay and she had me laughing.
