Had an extremely racist encounter here with an employee named Pauline. Basically went to fill up after working out, tried my cc, for some reason it wasn't working so just tried another one and this time the machine coded that it couldn't read it. Okay. Went inside and explained that neither cards worked, that it was strange and I needed $30 cashier asked for my ID. Told her my Amex is signed. She asked for it again. I explained that if an Amex is signed asking for a customers ID is against their TOS and honestly she didn't ask the guy in front of me nor the woman or man that came in back of me... all white. She said it was the owners rules. Okay so the owners of that particular shell station are breaking the TOS rules of a credit card company. Good to know so when I make a report I can include this information as well as the racism. asking for the ID of a black person who has a good credit card that apparently she didn't think one should have when you skip asking others that follow is some next level stuff. No worries though, I've a nice list of agencies and companies (including my own as I mentioned to her) in which I've had good results from the past to report their little antics and I see from other reviewers they've had some bad experiences here as well which makes me wonder why neither of my valid cards worked in their machines. The good thing about This shell is that it is 1 of the 2 cheapest prices in the area so expect long lines during peak hours including late nights sometimes. Formerly known as petrol x, which was a generic brand of gas. The bad thing about this station is that it's small, cramp & has 8 pumps but only 6 are working as of now. The cash prices is 10 cents cheaper than credit/debit, Also the card readers on the pumps are old as hell so if you're paying with credit or debit you can try your luck sliding your card through if it reads but my suggestion is it's best to pay inside the convenience store & i hope whoever owns this station install new pumps ASAP. 1 more thing, if you don't feel like waiting at the 76 station down the street at Melrose and normandie which stays constantly crowded cus both station's prices are identical, come here as a alternative read more

This is the place where you can get more for less. You need to get in before 10pm to avoid change of shift you will be waiting at least a half an hour wait if you are willing it is worth the wait it tests your patience. It's 24 hours you can go there when you have the time. read more

This place sucks so bad they have no customer service available most of time they are close. I'm surprised that she'll has allowed this to keep going on. I gone to shells for most when I got my band need at car. This price has reasonable gas price that's why I like coming to this places but with a lot people has some to this location for reasonable price is hard to get a pump you have a lot traffic from all sides so to move pump you literally have wait until some to move to you can move... it crazy and it sucks to see a shell station go so low. This place is great for cheap gas but they shut their doors from 10pm-10:30pm to do a shift switch !!!! Wtf, this shit is stupid as fuck !!!! People are literally waiting in their cars for them to open their doors since it is cheaper if you pay cash or if they need to buy something from the food mart. Today i fill up my tank and decide to go inside and get a lotto ticket. Surprise Surprise!! the lady on the cashier does no speak english and i was asking for a power ball and a mega lotto ticket and gave her a specific number, Instead she gave me 2 random numbers and got mad when i told her i will not get that and i want my money back. I just called the store at 323-912-1196 to verify the shell card price per gallon cost. Very surprisingly the attendant lady answer the phone and refuse to give me cost the gas price. I have been getting gas here for the past month because with my rewards card, I am able to bring it down to the lowest average price. I don't understand why they keep on saying the bathroom is out of order which evidently it's not. I understand if I'm a bum but I spend at least 150 dollars on gas weekly here. read more

This place always has some kind of issue with taking cash or they're closed for some reason. Might as well go to chevron or 76 around the corner. If you're in a rush or low on gas definitely plan on going elsewhere. read more
