I've lived in the area for over a year now and the service was mostly enjoyable and then I start noticing the employees that provided the great service were disappearing and good for them because now you know management is lacking in good work ethic and responsibility as now it is a "security" guard in there that has a bad attitude and the young cashier he is often gossiping with has started to match his behaviors and one day I had to wait as they gossiped about other guards and watched videos of these guards being on their phones but yet this same rude guard is always on his and at-least the other guards are ALWAYS courteous and speak but this one is too busy maintaining a flawed attitude and overall I stopped going to this location and while I was going here at-least 1x a day I try to avoid it; the other day I stopped for coffee and said to myself let me talk to the person in charge and I did and let him know and told him I now repeatedly receive bad service it makes me be rude and I try to not reciprocate a bad attitude towards rude people but it has become difficult and this manager in more ways then one shrugged his shoulders and was like oh well so what and I said times are getting harder and too dang hard to spend my "crumbs" here. read more

Since I was waiting to fill up I went inside to buy some Lottery tickets and the transaction was quick and easy with no long wait. Cheap gas and good location but the people that work there are extremely creepy. Went with my friend one day and the cashiers wouldn't stop staring and saying how beautiful/pretty we were. Once is fine but it was very excessive and made my friend (who was visiting from out of town) very uncomfortable. They ogled us mouths practically hanging open from the second we left the cash register till we drove off. Credit or cash, it's cheap! How did I find out about this place? And how did I know of its inexpensive gas? Well, it was while on one of my many road trips up to the Central Coast on the 101, near Solvang, when I first came across a Conserv Fuel. I was amazed at the cheap prices AND the cleanliness of this joint. I was just sad that I hadn't come across any Conserv Fuels in SoCal, until a few months ago! It was while stuck in traffic at the crazy intersection where Silver Lake Blvd, Virgil, and Beverly Blvd collide, that I happened to see the signage for Conserv Fuel. I was so excited to know that I had one so close to home! So cheap! So clean! I will say that driving into this joint, can be like playing the old video game Frogger. Do you remember that game? You know, the frog has to jump across traffic and over logs to make it to the lily pad? Well, that's how it is here. This will be your only obstacle. No, actually, getting out of here will be another obstacle because there is always so much traffic congestion at this intersection! Oh, the trouble one will go through just to purchase cheap gas! But, it's worth it! And, I might add that these folks are pretty nice, especially after the damage I caused after my first visit here... It was the morning of yet another road trip. I was on my way to pick up a friend, and I was running late. But, I knew I needed to fill up on gas. So, I knew immediately where I was going to get my gas. Conserv Fuel. I filled up on gas and was ready to go. I started to drive off when I heard a sound and felt a thump. It sounded and felt like I ran over something. What could it be? I didn't see anything while I was pumping gas. So, I got out of my vehicle to inspect the situation. And lo and behold! It turned out that I had yanked out the gas pump nozzle! I felt horrible! So, like a good and responsible citizen, I had gone inside the mart (it is filled with lots of goodies for your travel needs) and reported the incident to the gas attendant. He was pretty calm about it. He calmly got his clipboard and pen, and we walked out to the damage site to fill out some paper work. I guess this sort of thing happens regularly? I felt like an idiot and felt so embarrassed. But, not embarrassed enough to never return! I was back a week later, shamelessly filling up on gas! DO NOT PUT THIS GAS IN YOUR CAR. IT DAMAGED MY ENGINE. Two weeks ago I stopped for a very small amount of gas on my way to a jogging trail. Within five minutes of starting my car back up, the engine began to rattle and misfire all the way home and stalled out once in the middle of the street. It never ceased and costed me an initial $400 in repairs to replace the misfiring cylinder and there is still more to be done. I was at the pump in front of the cashier window. Woman turned off the pump after I had already pumped $1.38 into my tank. I look at her she doesn't look up. Finally she does and I give her a "wtf?!" Gesture. She shrugs, finally I walk over and she points to a sign she just put in the window that says they're "closed for 15 minutes to run their reports" SHE STOPPED MY TRANSACTION AND EXPECTED ME TO SIT THERE FOR 15 MINUTES WHILE SHE DID PAPERWORK. I pulled into the gas station for two reasons. #1 I needed gas. #2 I needed to use the restroom. As I entered the store, I waited in line with 5 people in front of me as a second clerk ignored the line and continued to fill the cooler. Finally I got to the counter and was not greeted by the clerk, in fact he just stared at me. I handed him $60 for gas. I then asked him where his bathroom was, and he stated that they did not have public restrooms. I noticed in the corner that there was a restroom, but that it had a sign stating "No Public Restrooms". As I began to argue I saw a customer exit the restroom! I asked the clerk why "did that guy just come out of the restroom?" And the clerk then said "the restroom is for customers only" I looked at the clerk and said "I am a customer, I just gave you $60 for gas". I was surprised to hear him explain that I have to purchase something from the store, and he offered to sell me gum! I asked for his District Managers phone number, to which he then said that I could use the bathroom. I am shocked that businesses refuse to provide customers with restrooms. It never use to be this way. I highly suggest you go the extra block to another gas station. read more

I visited this place last October 2018 after driving a long-trip passenger to Hollywood and I almost run out of gas. The prices back then were not too bad only 10 cents more than the average e85 gas prices. Yesterday after a long trip to Malibu, again I only had 1/4 of a tank left to go and my client wanted to stop by at Hollywood and then head back to Costa Mesa. I initially wanted to go to another e85 gas stain on National Ave but then I remembered that this store was actually closer. Big mistake! They had the price at $3.19 for the e85 gas. What a rip off! I can understand 10 or even 20 cents more but 50 cents that's ridiculous. Do you self a service and look for some other place to pump your e85 gas somewhere else, they are thieves at this spot. I will not recommend this establishment anymore. Do what their name says "conserv fuel," by not pumping gas here or visiting it at all. read more

I do not know what's up with this gas station but its prices are always the lowest in the area. Also, cash and debit card payments are treated the same thus your pumped gas paying debit card is spectacular. I noticed though that my gas mileage is shorter whenever i go to this station. I may be wrong i don't know if their gas has any connection to my predicament. Still, this is my go to gas station. read more

I really like this gas station the prices are always the lowest for the area and they try to keep a pretty clean place. The only thing I didn't like before not so sure about now since I haven't checked lately is that they tend to say that their restroom is out of order (it seems like they don't want to clean it) Other than that I think this is a good place to get your gas and snacks. Tank wasn't empty, but I decided to fuel up before driving up to the mountains and risking a disaster en route. It was around 6 AM. I had just swiped my credit card and was about to insert the nozzle into my tank when a Korean man with a bandana on his head and a gallon gas tank in his hand begged me for 50 cents of gas. He pointed to a car at a pump near mine and said that was his car, and he just needed to get home. What was I to do? Be a cheapass and say no to 50 cents of gas? I agreed, and it was a struggle getting gas into the tank, as the gas flowed like molasses in January. Finally, I said, "That's 50 cents." He thanked me and walked back to his car. While this was happening two other beggars had swarmed the car parked at the pump adjacent to mine, like zombie walkers. The driver apparently agreed to pay one of them to pump gas for her. The other guy, left out of the action, eyed me and turned his body my way, to which I said, "Thanks. I already gave." The Korean guy with 50 cents of gas yelled, "Thanks again!" All this time, I was trying and squeezing to pump faster, but the nozzle just wouldn't speed up. I could feel I was in a danger zone. The longer I stayed, the more I would be hit up for change, food, who knows what. I left after pumping only a gallon of gas in what felt like half an hour and tore down the road, never to visit again. read more
