So a few years ago I was homeless on the streets and I had a little dog and it was pouring rain I'd always been a customer and never stole was always cordial but it was raining so I sat outside the front on the bench for a few minutes while the rain went away, apparently the manager was not okay with that told me to get my kind and my piece of s*** ass out of away from his store. I said okay sorry and left and left it back couple years in between on and off I ran into him and I was off the streets and I was not what he had this first impression about me and we were cool and we were cordial. This morning I drove up to the car vacuum to clean out my children's trash and to clean my car a little bit but there were no paper towels so instead I walked over to the other trash can or they had paper towels and he followed me out there yelling at me telling me I can't throw my garbage in his trash can even though it was a small bag I was like I asked him isn't that what the trash cans are for at the vacuum so I could throw the trash away comes out of my car so I can vacuum it he said no no you're just trying to dump all your trash in there and make a mess everywhere not one single thing was left behind not one mess nothing I tried to apologize and brush it off and say look I was under the impression that trash cans were for trash apparently they're not and he kept cutting me off shutting me down and telling me to bounce I don't know what his issue is I don't know who he thinks I am I don't know what he thinks I am but what I am is a single mother of two who just got a job and I am trying to support my children and all I was doing before I went to go have some dental surgery done was get the trash out and then after my dental surgery I am going to go work at 10 hour day at my job so I don't know what his issue is I don't know what but this is not the first time he's done this to me over the years in this should be the last. So what I am curious if I can get any feedback on this is I will most likely in the future see him stepping to my store as I am being the cashier and at service for him I think I should take the bigger person and just leave it be or kill him with kindness and subtly remind him that I was that person that he was speaking to like that what do you guys think? read more

My Sunday couldn't end on a better note, I was running out of gas I noticed that all the gas stations were closed then on the corner of my eye, I saw a Shell gas station. I walked in there and a gentleman named Luis greeted me welcome in. I asked him if he was still open and he said yes how can I help you such a great manners!!! he was such a gentleman that he asked me what I needed help with. I just said I needed some gas and I was so happy to see a nice gentleman not to mention the gas station still open 10 pm , he asked me if I needed any more assistance? I have been going to Shell for years around 2 times a week. You coulld call me a regular, or smoker =) I HAVE to write a review for Trèzon S. He works at the Shell Gas Station on 41st Ave. Trèzon is STELLAR at his JOB. His OUTSTANDING customer service makes me feel like a valued customer. He noticed my ankle was in a cast/ boot for 8 weeks. He asked how I injured myself. The person in front of me was struggling with the app to pay with a gift card. Of the 3 main shells in town this one is most accessible. They have lots of pumps and also lots of diesel pumps for the location. Easy access on and off the freeway. Pretty clean handles on both gas and diesel. The window washer water isn't always the cleanest and prices are more than local spots read more

The cashier doesn't like to answer ANY QUESTIONS. He is without words regarding the on-site car wash and it felt like pulling teeth to get any assistance with my Perks membership when buying gas. Suggestion; offer personality training for your mid 20's male cashier that works Tuesday afternoons or consider another attendant, this guy is life-sucking. read more

Problem with pump and car wash. Employee and manager were disrespectful for no reason.

I basically went there for a simple car wash. I bought it inside, entered the code from the receipt at the entrance of the car wash, drove in following the voice instructions - quick simple and fine. Even more quick: do payment and choice of wash at the machine at the entrance. Fuel is 20 cent off with a wash (3,79 imstead of 3,99 on the day, 3,76 at a station across the street, Shell may well be premium gas?) Very friendly and helpful customer service at my time. Someone came out seeing that. I had a problem with paying with my credit card. Went back in with me to prepay gaz and went out to do the work for me. Thanks, very kind. It was interesting to see, that there were (early afternoon weekday) constantly cars washing and lining up at the wash. My simple wash was 7,99 $. read more

All because they're stupid asses don't know how to clean the Frazil Machine. They need to be educated about customer service!!!! It's your typical Shell. Very accessible, right off the 1 freeway on Soquel. Prices are mediocre, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. They have a car wash here as well. Quite a spacious Shell! read more

If I could give them NEGATIVE 680 Stars I would, because that's approximately how much it cost to pay for 2 broken windows on my Element. I drove through the Shell Gas car wash earlier this month- and followed the light instructions, drove in when it was green, then stopped when it was red. And heard a weird noise and boom - the car wash machine broke TWO of my windows- the Rear and the back passenger side window. I was so shocked and shaken up that another patron called a staff member. A young kid came out, and was extremely rude, and said we aren't liable - almost started yelling at me when I was in tears and shaking, saying that this has never happened in the 6 months he was working there. Afterwards, he turned off the machine because it said it was showing some ERROR (meaning that their immediate reaction was NOT to turn off the car wash so other cars didn't get damaged, but to yell at me first for some reason). I was given a paper to write the claim, which I throughly filled out. I came here for a quick car wash to get all the bugs off my car before I went home, not expecting for this much DAMAGE to happen. Next was the matter of getting all the glass out of the back window, because I couldn't drive with a shattered window, and I was fearful of the glass falling in the street. So, after I cleared the glass, I had asked another store employee if they had a broom, so I could clean it from the Shell Gas station parking lot. I didn't want anyone to get hurt or cut from the broken glass from my car. This man, Ronney was a nice employee and he said that he would clean it. I chatted with him about his day and helped him clean up the broken glass. Anyways, fast forward a few weeks later. I had to be proactive and dropped in to see what was happening with my case because I had fixed the windows out of my own pocket because it was going to storm again- and didn't want further damage to my car due to the weather. Apparently, the manager was told a few days before they weren't liable for the damages due to my car and FORGOT to call me to tell of this terrible news. So he basically told me said that I drove in incorrectly and didn't go forward enough and they weren't liable for the damages. For one this makes no sense this, because they have sensors on the machine that tells you when to stop. I followed what the machine was telling me to do! He even said the sensor didn't stop until it was too late. I even asked if I could review the tape. Crickets. I told him that I don't want to get upset and take it out on him, when I can talk to a Corporate manager to get this resolved. I am still waiting to hear back and its been 2 days with no response. I just want them to apologize and fix the damages that where caused by their Car Wash Machine! There is obviously something wrong with this machine, and this shady car wash, that they are not intending to fix. So do yourself a favor, save yourself and your car and steer clear of this car wash. Even if you drive in, you're going to be responsible for who knows what damages it will cause to your car. read more

This is the worst gas station I've been to in Santa Cruz. My husband and I pulled in here because they advertised a cheaper price with a car wash, otherwise we would have gone to the Mobile Station across the street. My husband typed in the information. It did not ask for a car wash, my husband thought it would ask at the end of the transaction. It did not, so he went inside to talk with the attendant. He said he could not change the transaction. We'd have to pay full price for the car wash, after paying for the gas. He admitted that their pumps were "screwed up", and did not ask for the option of a car wash in advance. So why was there no sign on the pumps if that's the case???!!! I'm sorry, but what a scam! Advertise a cheaper price because the gas station across the street offers better prices for good gas, but blame the pump for not asking for a car wash!' And then, you can't do anything to correct the transaction! How absurd! If I could give 0 stars I would. I have no confidence whatsoever in this neighborhood gas station. read more

I love stopping here. Everyone who works here is always so friendly and cheerful. They always say hello when you walk through the door and end with wishing you a good day. I get lottery tickets here frequently and they are always so helpful and wish you good luck. There's always enough people working so they're rarely short staffed. Everything is always clean, stocked, and serviced. People always write bad reviews over one negative experience but I have had many positive experiences here and thought they deserved a positive write-up. read more

If their pumps don't work for you, try not to ask them why, they treat you like you've never pumped gas before. Super condescending.
