There are a handful of gas stations off this exit heading west towards Lanier Islands resort. In order: Shell, Exxon, Chevron, QuikTrip, and Texaco. This Chevron isn't far from the superior QuikTrip at the corner of Friendship Road and Gainesville Highway. I stopped by this Chevron early on a Sunday morning (before 7:30am) on my way to Lanier Islands. This Chevron is somewhat unique because it sits in front of a strip mall. The convenience store ("Food Mart") is in the middle of the other businesses that include a vape shop, scooter shop, pet groomer, salon & spa, and more. Since it was early, I'm pretty sure I was the only person on the entire property at the time. The Food Mart was closed. Retractable security screens were rolled down in front of the storefront's entrance and windows. The gas pumps were on and working though. Chevron's fuel prices matched those of QuikTrip across the street. There were six pumps offering both unleaded and diesel. All of the paper towels were out and a receipt did not print from the pump I used (pump #3) even though I requested one. The pump was in OK condition and overall, the gas station and parking lot were clean.

Food is incredible and fresh made to order. Hours are roughly 7ish AM to 230-3pm & 5-8pm. Breakfast Mexican food until about 10am. (Be careful the breakfast tacos are addictive! :p ). Extremely busy from 1130am to 1pm. Go during down time. They get slammed during lunch. Small sitting area in front of counter but everything is packed to go so you can takeout. You can also call them and place a pickup order which is great during peak hours otherwise you could be in for a wait. It's worth it though. I wish they had their own listing on here. But then everyone would know about this gem!

This is the last gas station you'll come across if heading to Lanier Islands resort from the interstate. It's also the closest gas station to the resort that I know of though there's a QuikTrip less than a mile down the road which is closer to the interstate. I filled up at this Texaco after playing golf (and scoring my first hole-in-one!) at the resort nearby. If traveling east towards the interstate on GA-347, you'll have to make a U-turn at the light to get to this station because of a relatively new concrete median on the highway. This station was dead compared to the QT nearby. That was a little sad considering this station is fairly big (16 pumps) and had the same price as QT for regular unleaded gas. Premium, however, was a different story. It was exactly $1 more per gallon than regular and about $0.50 more per gallon than QT's premium. What's up with that? The station was spacious and clean enough. My pump (#14) was in satisfactory condition and it printed my receipt out clearly. If all your car needs is regular gas, this place should suffice. Otherwise, go to QT. The Food Mart looks big enough. Flanking it on either side is a Mexican takeout joint called G Sisters Restaurant and a dry cleaner called A Plus Cleaners.

From the moment I walked into the store until I left, the cashier was constantly talking on the phone which was on a loud speaker. 2. When I asked him for the alto vape pod, he looked genuinely bothered and told me to just "go get it." What's the point of having a cashier's counter? So I had to go behind the counter and get an item that was like 3 feet away from him. 3. No receipt or even an offer of receipt. He was busy talking on his phone. 4. The marked price for the item was $13.49, but the packaging says $3.50 off. So, obviously the final price before tax should be $9.99, but when I finally get the receipt, its marked as $10.10 each. When I told the cashier about it, he thinks I'm the crazy one and tells me to do the math. What the hell??? 5. When I showed him on my calculator how $13.49 - $3.50 = $9.99, he first tells me some gibberish about how the computer registers the price as such, and that when I told him that the price is wrong, he gives ME an attitude??
