Went to my mechanic the following day and they tested the battery. My mechanic gave me a print out of the battery test and the battery was fine! The store is very bet and orderly, the employees are friendly and more importantly, the prices are reasonable. On my last visit, I bought a cup of French Vanilla coffee ($1.79 for an extra large cup), but it wasn't exactly the best, but it did come with a free bottle of water which came in hand later. Overall, clean, fairly priced store located in Kensington. After pumping your gas or just on the hunt for some snacks, this is your place, but stay away from the French Vanilla coffee.

I asked him, before getting too close. "Mask?" He asked me (it was clear that he did not speak very good English). "Yes, can you please put your mask on?" I asked again. "You want to buy mask?" he asked me, sounding confused. "No, can you please put your mask over your mouth and nose?" I asked. Eventually, someone else in the store found a way to get him to understand. The employee put his mask on, and even said "sorry" to me. Then I walked up to the counter, made my purchase, and quickly left the store. I'll give this place two stars as opposed to one because the employee did eventually put his mask on when asked to, and even apologized afterwards. But considering he appears to normally walk a foot up to customers with the mask below his chin (the equivalent of wearing no mask at all) while indoors, I can't give this place any more than two stars.

That was not the case. Gas was $2.99 but still a bargain compared to $5.99 a gallon in my side of town. The quality is Shell so the gas is good, it's not some no name brand gas. Good price for the value. I gave 3 stars because of the difficulty in the extremely small location, very dirty, not clean, or well kept like you would expect a Shell gas station. Not familiar with the area, but must be sketchy because the gas attendant was behind a bullet proof partition. There during the daytime hours, in & out, completely fine. It is a very busy area.

Recently I had a larger issue with my car that would necessitate an expensive repair. While they didn't have the facilities to do the job at Beverly Shell, Lou recommended a shop for repair. The recommendation was incredible-- excellent work with fast service and a very reasonable price. I feel like I really owe Lou and Beverly Shell one for steering me in the right direction and potentially saving me many hundreds of dollars.

I called the local Brooklyn Pep Boys, they said I'd have to come in and get a ticket and then they would see me to get wiper fluid in about 90 min from the time I get the ticket. Am I in an alternative universe?! What is happening? So I just randomly called this Sunoco and a super friendly guy answered the phone. He said "no problem. Come on over," or something like that. I drove there and he freaking greeted me without me getting out of the car. He could obviously tell I was the frantic girl w/ a wiper fluid issue. I don't know squat about cars. I asked if I could see were he pulled the lever to release the hood, and my request for a tiny car maintenance lesson was granted. He put the wiper fluid in; he did it all super quick. The whole thing was beautiful. In & out in less than 5 min and customer service is 100%. THIS is where I'll always stop on my way to Costco now. Kudos!

Rio, and I love the name, is probably the only gas chain that allowed this place to keep such irregular hours. It is closed on Jewish holidays and the Sabbath (a fluid concept which changes depending on the time of year). The prices are reasonable and there is a nice little market that only sells kosher food on-site. They have diesel and an air pump. Not bad for six days a week.
