Skilled, honest, and friendly auto mechanics. Highly recommended!…read more The "check engine light" on my Passat has been intermittently on and off for the past few months due to low fuel pressure warning. I took it to a VW dealer and was told that the fuel pressure sensor was faulty. A few hours after the sensor was replaced, the same problem came back again. I took the car back to the dealer and was told this time that the whole fuel delivery unit has to be replaced, for over $1000. I hesitated, and took the car to another auto repair shop for a second opinion, and after some diagnosis, the mechanic impatiently gave up and said such intermittent problems were very hard to catch and I should take the car back to the VW dealer as they have better diagnosis equipment. I was glad that I then made the decision to take my car to Great Savvy Services for help. A mechanic named Rick welcomed me and promised to do a thorough examination. He hooked a fuel pressure reader to my car and really took the time to patiently diagnose any potential problem. Eventually, he believed that it was still due to a faulty low fuel pressure sensor. I was at beginning in disbelief as the VW dealer had supposedly replaced it, and asked him to double check the fuel pump to see if it works properly. But Rick told me that my fuel pump was definitely good and affirmed it's the fuel pressure sensor. Rick was right: After he ordered a new sensor and installed it, the "check engine light" never came back on again! And while working on the diagnosis, he also replaced one of the faulty front parking lights on my car for free.

Compared to other BJ's Gas that I've visited, there is not much space to queue to get to the pumps. Also, the hours are longer compared to other BJ's Gas. Three days ago, when I stopped by to get gas, I scanned BJ's card and selected regular, but I noticed that the pump was charging me for premium gas. I tried to get the attendant(in his glass room) to help solve the problem or at least explain what was going on. He stared at me several times and then just turned his face away. I stopped pumping and went over to him to ask why I was being charged for premium instead of what I selected, and why there was no paper in the pump (as usual). He was extremely rude and adversarial, yelling from inside his booth that I should file a complaint with management. When I asked him--again--why the pumps NEVER have paper, he told me to look up the management's number and speak to them myself. He even refused to give me his name. I will not be giving them any more business. Even though the price is a bit lower, the operation and customer service are horrible.
