Many available pumps , decent prices especially for premium and it's the same cost if you pay cash or plastic .The also have a no frills self service clean and vacuum machine along with a tire pressure machine that takes coins or bills . My go-to Queens gas station. I visit this BP instead of the BP at 65th and Queens BLVD as that one is always more crowded, and the prices are always more or less the same. This location has a tire pressure machine/air pump, and a self-vacuum machine. Same price as the 65th and Queens BLVD one so you can come to this location if there is a wait. They never have paper for receipts do you will need to speak to an employee to request a receipt. read more

I came here after reading all the great reviews on the self car wash. It was a warm Saturday afternoon and the line wasn't super crazy. I wait less than 10 minutes for a spot to open. I paid $5 for 8 minutes (you can add more $1 per minute) but since this was my first time I put $7 since I wasn't sure how much time I was going to need. There is a knob where you put what you want soap, water, wax. I'm no car wash expert so I inly use the soap and water functions. I have to say that the 8 minutes they give you it's plenty of time to wash your car. I will be coming back since there is something I really like about washing my own car and you can't beat $5. I also got to use the vacuum machine for $1.50 It was pretty much a regular vacuum, nothing special. I feel that the vacuum cleaners at Mobil stations are stronger than other gas stations. read more

I really like this place. Too bad I just recently found out about its existence. (I've been living in Queens for over 10 years!). Just be aware that it's on the BP gas station on the west bound of Queens Blvd (Direction from Long island to Manhattan) because there's another BP across the street but that one doesn't have the car washing machines. As of today, August 2014, you pay 5 dollars for 8 minutes (I usually pay 7 so that I can have extra time) and you wash your car. You can wash your rubber mats and any accessory you might have. (I don't think they would be ok if you tried to wash your dog or cat). Other users have already listed the steps to follow so I'm not gonna type everything over. Just make sure you don't make the same mistake I did the first time I washed my car! I used the high pressure hose with water and soap and then I used the brush (looks like a household broom) but I didn't know I had to turn the machine knob so there was no soap coming out of the brush. (yes, Duh me! haha) The machine only takes $1 and $5 dollar bills (or quarters) but the gas station attendants are always VERY nice, friendly and polite and they always exchange when needed. I've dealt with an Indian guy and a Chinese lady and both were very friendly. The gentleman was trying to help, explaining to me how to use the machine (even though i already knew) but I was positively surprised. Be courteous to other washers! So if you are going to dry your car don't do it at the washing stations! I came on a cold Sunday night and didn't have to wait. I paid $5 for I think 10 minutes of washing time; you start at $4 for 8 minutes and can add time before it runs out. As others have said, you wash yourself with the high pressure hose and foaming soap brush, which is what I was looking for to quickly get the salt and dirt off from the winter, and a spot on my bumper where a white car parallel parked a little too closely. I was confused when I first pulled in; it just looked like a regular gas station. I'm used to seeing a concrete structure (like a row of garages open in the front and back), but it's just 4-5 stations at the far end of the parking lot where you park and wash your car. This station is equipped with a nice self-service car wash that utilizes a pressure-washing machine with soap, polish, wax and obviously water. $5 for 5 minutes is usually enough time to wash off impurities off your car. Great place to wash your car if you don't mind doing it yourself. It's open 24 hours so you can even do it late at night, it's actually a lot less busy then say the weekend day times. Don't bring buckets or try to wash your engine though, that's a big no no. There's an area on the other side of the station to vacuum or put air in the car too. I only started washing my car here recently, but I have been coming here for the last year for gas. I work in the area but commute from Bayside, and the gas prices here are SOOOOO much cheaper than where I live, it's crazy. 20-25 cents difference and I only live 15 mins away driving! Really? Wish the place had a convince store you could walk into. Has a hand car wash right next to it that ive seen many people use. $5 for 8 mins. Extremely rude people working here. It was an old lady and an old man, I guess they are married couples. I dropped by this place for a simple vacuum job, but did not know that double trouble was coming at me. I parked my car, and as there were people at the window, I simply walked over to the vending machine to grab a drink, but all the drinks were out of stock and the return button did not do anything. I asked the old man at the window for a refund, but he told me his business has nothing to do with the machine because they don't manage it. Didn't want to fuss over a dollar so I would've cared less, but on contrary to what this man said to call the number on the vending machine for help, there wasn't even any number on it! So forget the drinks, I went to the vacuum machine, put my money and guess what, this POS did not work either. The old lady was outside getting stuff from their inventory box thing, so I asked her what was going on with the machines and asked for a refund but she simply shrugged at me. Too bad? I asked her what that's supposed to mean and once again she replies that the machine is not managed by them so it has nothing to do with them. I mean we are talking about a dollar or two but these people are very irresponsible, I guess they are bound to say everything is not managed by them when stuff breaks down. I've only fueled here a few times, but I wouldn't be surprised if these people would somehow cheat on the customers with the gas pumps as well. Not recommended. read more

Great location to wash your baby. 5 bucks gets you enough time to was any coupe. Brought my new born here on a Tuesday around mid day and had to wait in line for a few minutes. The line starts by the fire hydrant by the way. Bring a 5 dollar bill, singles and some quarters if you require more time. Downside is you can not use buckets to prolong your wash, states it in the sign and they will suspend your wash if they catch you. The pressure on the spray is adequate and the soap wash brush is decent. The attendant have me a free wash less car can for my troubles. Great place if you love your vehicle. read more

Self serve, coin operated, car wash in Woodside. The only one I've found in Queens. Please share if you know of others! It's the only way to get the salt off the frame of your vehicle! Awesome! I didn't think Queens had self-service car washes. I love washing my own car, and nothing beats being able to scrub-a-dub-dub your car down with high pressure hoses and foaming brushes. $5 for 5 minutes is totally enough time, at least for me. There were 3 washing stations, and I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes on Sunday at noon. Then I went over to the vacuums (there are 3 as well) and cleaned up my interior for $1.50. The washing machine takes $1 and $5 and the vacuum takes quarters only. Love this place. Oh, and bring a towel. read more

Easily assessible to drivers off Queens Blvd. The machine that you use to wash the cars has a brush and high spraying water tool. You can also turn the button to wax. The cist starts at $4 for 8 minutes and $5 for 10 minutes. The machine takes dollar bills and five. As for as vacuuming your car, it's $1.50 for what appeared to be about 3 or 4 minutes. :( Just found out the car wash will be closed for a while. No re-open date given. Apparently there was a complaint from someone to the city (I am assuming a local car wash because they probably lost business) and another complaint made of excessive traffic by someone local with nothing better to do. They are planning on trying to do some minor construction to figure out a way to make the car wash better so some stupid people can't complain. BEST self service wash in Queens with plenty of space to move around! I've been there a few times now and everytime my car shines! better than going to one of those automatic places where it only does the top and sides, never do it the way I want it to. FYI. the machine they have accepts $1 and $5 bills. I didn't realize it after a few washes. Only thing is sometimes the 2 machines can have a line because of too many people waiting. I asked the station clerk when is a better time to come and was told mid-morning or early evening. The clerk also said they are about to install 1 or 2 more machines to keep customers happy. Even though the minimum amount is $3.50, I found that $5 is enough time for my Nissan Maxima where I can get every nook and cranny. Instead of rushing because of time I prefer to do a good job and pay a little bit more. Oh yeah, DO NOT try to wash your engine or interior (vans) i saw the manager/ owner turn off the machine and told the guy there were signs posted everywhere that it wasn't allowed. He made the guy close the car up and then turned it back on. I forgot to add they have 2 self serve vacuums also. read more

So far I like what I see and did my first car wash here today. Shame it's so far from me. Wish I knew about this place earlier. Like the fact that they are four spots to wash and it's not choked up for space! Went around 10:30am so that seems like a good time to beat the wait in line the other reviews speak of. I'll revise my review because I was furious that day, (i'll even delete the street name of the other BP station) but this is not a gripe. I always give fair reviews. Maybe it's just one person at this gas station. I have not seen the guys since. BTW, the good reviews are for the self-serve car wash NOT the actual gas station. Drove by this gas station many times before the renovations and was looking forward to trying out the self-serve car wash once the weather improved. Not anymore. We stopped by one morning to fill up the tank and the attendant was extremely unpleasant. The pump wouldn't read the card and after getting instructions, the attendant kept yelling through the mic: Smile!! smile!! We were already having a bad day with personal issues, running late and not in the mood to smile. The situation just escalated as he kept taunting my husband, who at that point was extremely furious. I approached the attendant to ask him to stop instigating but his answer was: your husband is a jerk. SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?! because he didn't want to smile for him? All I said was "can you please stop". I am sure this would not have turned out this way if a manager were present. Things just went south from there, nasty words were exchanged. Definitely ruined our morning. I would've fired this guy already. He needs serious customer service training. I am not saying we reacted the best way either but we were provoked, bullied. A general business rule is to turn bad situations around?? But at this place, in the words of the attendant "the customer isn't always right". True, but this time he just made things get out of control. Now I know why this BP is always empty. There's a much smaller BP station a few miles away and it is always packed. That attendant always has a smile even when there is a line of cars waiting and it's not self-service!! We are NEVER coming to this location EVER. It is hard to actually like a gas station, but this BP station is modern, spacious and filled with amenities including self car wash and vacuum. Like other BP gas stations in the neighborhood, this location has the same gas price whether paying via cash or credit. And an added bonus, you get 10 cents or more per gallon when you enroll in BP's royalty program. read more

The people that work here are greedy and rude, unless you're spending money that moment, they don't want you on the property. I live next door to this place and I always get my gas and wash my car here since it's so conveniently located. The other day I drove in and I was on the side putting windex on my windows and an old lady, came and rudely threw me out. She said, you can't do this here, LEAVE! I told her I come here all the time, for gas, car washes, vacuum machine. She said you have to leave, in a extremely rude manner. I understand it's their property and they can do what they want, but jeez have a little bit of manners. To blatantly throw someone out that shells out $300 a month on this place is really silly. Another time, I needed air for my tires and one of the machines was turned on but was not releasing air. I didn't ask for a refund, I just inserted money into the other machine since they have two and that was working properly. After that I told the guy thats always wearing the hat about it. I told him he needs to shut it down or put up a sign that's not working so people don't keep spending money on it. He asked whats wrong with it, I said it's not pumping air, and he got technical on me, saying is it the pressure pump is not working or the machine is not turning on, I said I'm not an expert on it, but just shut it down cause it's not inflating tires. He just wanted to make a fool out of me by throwing technical terms. Bottom line, this people are just rude, and I'm not spending my money here ever again read more
