The advertised gas prices are the cash-only prices, and if you plan to pay with a credit card (like most people), you will pay a few cents more. Even after the extra 10 cents per gallon, it was still one of the less expensive gas stations in the area, though. I got a coffee and topped it off with some hot chocolate cappuccino. The cappuccino machine worked well (often, gas station cappuccino machines are clogged and only dispense water with a hint of flavoring). My coffee was as good as I could've expected it to taste from a Hot Spot. The convenience store has a good selection of local brews as well, including one of our favorites, Ginger's Revenge. Hot Spot isn't fancy, but it gets the job done if you need gas and snacks for the road.

I have to imagine it's owned by an actual mom and pop who have been in the convenience store game forever. The gas pumps are straight 80's style. Rotating numbers, no digital displays, and if you want to pay with a card you have to head inside. You get your choice of gas though, unleaded, unleaded, or unleaded. I like this spot. It's a great place to run to if I run out of half and half, or beef jerky, or pringles. The staff is always ultra pleasant and sweet. The funny thing is, I only head here while the sun is up. For some reason I find myself heading to other convenience stores. I feel like they close earlier than your standard gas station. The sodas on ice at the front by the check out counter are a serious nice touch.

I go back to my car that is sitting at the pump find where my $ went, the first clerk comes out pounds on my car window and yells "you're not allowed to just sit here! your blocking the pump and no one can get gas! Leave the property or I'm calling the cops!" I look around and there is NO ONE ELSE in the parking lot and everyone of their 13 pumps is open. so I pull forward into a parking spot. she comes and pounds on my window like she's on drugs screaming that she's calling the cops!! The manager told me before that if I wave at the clerk they would know I was coming in the store to get something else. Well I wave at the clerk and she just stood there, so I walk to the door and ask to turn on the pump and I was going to get cigarettes. ( I've had problems with this clerk before. ) Well she said she need something from me before she could turn it on. I tried to tell her what I was going to get , when she started to get hateful with me, then the other clerk jump in and started hateful saying they don't turn pumps on that they didn't know. That flew all over me. I'm going to have a talk with her about what happen. ( If they were nice about it I would have been too.) I don't think anything will be done about it. But I hope they get rid of them. I'll never go back to that store again

It's your standard mom and pop convenience store owned by a wonderful Indian family. You'll hear the latest hits from Bollywood, your nose will be tingled by the subtle scents of incense, and you may even be lucky enough to spot 3 generations of the family in the shop at one time. It's not very well lit, and the the gas pumps are straight out of 1991. But this place is rich on charm. Just look at their sign with the hand painted Cingular wireless logo that hasn't been updated since they merged with AT&T. What's not to love? Also, something very pleasant about this spot is the prevalence of limes in the beer case. I love mexican beers, mostly as an excuse to consume citrus, and BJ's makes that easy. It's a really nice touch. Sadly, it would seem that the porn organized by race has disappeared. Perhaps BJ's is getting more progressive, or conservative.... It was always worth a giggle to see it, and wonder who was printing out the descriptions.
