On normal days this gas station still has a great beer selection, even some good beers on tap. They also have a chill area to hang out at out back. Some pretty good food trucks on top of all that. Gas is cheaper in South Carolina, and you'll immediately know why when you drive on our roads! The advertised gas prices are the cash-only prices, and if you plan to pay with a credit card (like most people), you will pay a few cents more. Even after the extra 10 cents per gallon, it was still one of the less expensive gas stations in the area, though. I got a coffee and topped it off with some hot chocolate cappuccino. The cappuccino machine worked well (often, gas station cappuccino machines are clogged and only dispense water with a hint of flavoring). My coffee was as good as I could've expected it to taste from a Hot Spot. The convenience store has a good selection of local brews as well, including one of our favorites, Ginger's Revenge. Hot Spot isn't fancy, but it gets the job done if you need gas and snacks for the road.

Fix your pumps! Put my card in, no chip reader, and it told me to cancel to get started. Did that…read moreand, surprise(!), it cancelled my transaction! So tried again and it locked my card in the reader to process the transaction and didn't give it back for a solid 2 minutes! Tried another pump and my card declined because it declined on the other pump when I cancelled it! Used another card and see above for same process. Lady at the next pump also tried a couple. Nope. They did have a clean bathroom but it's not called a bathroom station. It's a gas station!

I have to imagine it's owned by an actual mom and pop who have been in the convenience store game forever. The gas pumps are straight 80's style. Rotating numbers, no digital displays, and if you want to pay with a card you have to head inside. You get your choice of gas though, unleaded, unleaded, or unleaded. I like this spot. It's a great place to run to if I run out of half and half, or beef jerky, or pringles. The staff is always ultra pleasant and sweet. The funny thing is, I only head here while the sun is up. For some reason I find myself heading to other convenience stores. I feel like they close earlier than your standard gas station. The sodas on ice at the front by the check out counter are a serious nice touch.

Go in and explain to the clerk. she just looks at me like I'm stupid and says I can't do that. go call Venmo from my car and they tell me how to tell the clerk how to do it. I go back it the store and try to tell her what they said at Venmo. she yells at me and tells me she's not going to do it. I tell her I don't have enough gas to make it home and this is my only way to pay. she just looks at me like I'm stupid and walks off. I go to the other clerk, she tries to use the app but does something so my payment gets lost. I go back to my car that is sitting at the pump find where my $ went, the first clerk comes out pounds on my car window and yells "you're not allowed to just sit here! your blocking the pump and no one can get gas! Leave the property or I'm calling the cops!" I look around and there is NO ONE ELSE in the parking lot and everyone of their 13 pumps is open. so I pull forward into a parking spot. she comes and pounds on my window like she's on drugs screaming that she's calling the cops!! That chick has mental issues!! I will NEVER stop there again!!!!

The manager told me before that if I wave at the clerk they would know I was coming in the store to get something else. Well I wave at the clerk and she just stood there, so I walk to the door and ask to turn on the pump and I was going to get cigarettes. ( I've had problems with this clerk before. ) Well she said she need something from me before she could turn it on. I tried to tell her what I was going to get , when she started to get hateful with me, then the other clerk jump in and started hateful saying they don't turn pumps on that they didn't know. That flew all over me. I'm going to have a talk with her about what happen. ( If they were nice about it I would have been too.) I don't think anything will be done about it. But I hope they get rid of them. I'll never go back to that store again
