Called around and learned that Jason at Hawkeye Tack & Western Wear does the shaping. Called at 12:21, the person that answered the phone said that Jason works until 4:00 so if we are there by 3:30 that should work but we should talk to him to make sure. When we were talking to Jason he said that if the store is slow that he would probably be leaving early.... I asked him if we could call when we were closer to Des Moines to see if he was still working and he said yes. We called back at 2:27 and he was still there!!! Yay!!! Once again transferred to him excited that he was still there. Asked if he would still be there at 3:30 and he said that he was probably going to be leaving in 30 minutes even though he was scheduled until 4:00. Really?!??? Most businesses would say.... If you can be here by 3:30 I would be happy to stay. Very frustrated and pretty sure we will never visit this store base on the lack of customer service

Extremely disappointed with the finished product. It was my American Legion Cap. Nearly 3 years ago I took my Legion cap in to have the word "Commander" embroidered on the side. Gold letters. Came out perfect. Last week returned to have "Past" embroidered above, in smaller letters. When my cap was sent back to me. The word 'Past' was way larger than requested. Shocked. Not at all what I wanted or how it should look on the cap. So upset & displeased. I cut out the stitching myself. UPDATE: This business did get back to me to redo/refund. However, I will not take my cap back. As I do not wish to take the chance of having it damaged.

I swear that I'm walking into a Portland Oregon shop (like Tanner or Machus) when I see the unique collection of leather goods, outdoor accessories (like Filson) and associated fashion (like waxed jeans from Red Clouds Collective of Portland). It's fun to look around and imagine the possibilities. They have their own leather shop in the back and they will do custom orders. I asked that take one of their passport holder designs and add a "flap and snap" feature to keep it all together better. That was done, mailed, and in my hands within a couple weeks.

Their selection is awesome and reasonably priced for how rare some of it is. It's definitely a great place to stop in when you're in town... and an even better place to stop in when you need a badass outfit to go to a formal event with. It's super well organized and just an overall fun store to walk around. The only reason I took a star off is because some of the stuff isn't for sale. It's only for rent... and that disappointed me. I don't live in town, so I couldn't rent the incredible options of suits/tuxedos that they sell there.
