The office staff was a great help before . Now there is no staff and no alerts for appointments. Physician was nice until she got overwhelmed with work and reflects on her patients read more

Awful care, zero stars. Threatens to and has cut off medications if you aren't in complete agreement with her. If you aren't in complete agreement you "aren't compliant". Has repeatedly ignored feedback about helpful medications that have improved my life (non-controlled substances). Told me to immediately discontinue a medication prescribed by two separate doctors I had taken for over a decade immediately. This is not a recommended practice. The same thing happened again with another medication, no reduction in dosage over time. Judgmental and ignores things you say. Fixates on certain issues that are clearly her own personal bones to pick even if they don't relate to you. It's weird. A complete inverse to every doctor and psychiatrist I have ever had. The psychotherapy has also been remarkably poor, contradicting every therapist and psychiatrist I have visited. Gives no helpful techniques, again, unlike past therapists whose useful feedback I have instead retreated to using because of how bad this one is. read more

Dr. Sheila Wendler was my wonderful psychiatrist. I appreciated her honest feedback, support, and realism. See her if you want all of the above! read more

I've been working with Dr. Wendler for over three years and she's been phenomenal in helping me work through my mental illnesses and finding medications that help me remain stable. She is always kind and encouraging, nonjudgmental, and has been integral in my healing journey. I have read the other negative reviews on here and my experience is the complete opposite of theirs. I would highly recommend anyone looking for an encouraging and competent psychiatrist to consider Dr. Wendler. read more

My experience was amazing from the beginning to the end. Dr.Wendler's office administrator Nia has amazing customer service skills. She helped set up the Telehealth video visit and walked me through the required registration forms and documents needed prior to my video visit with Dr.Wendler. Dr.Wendler spent over an hour on the Telehealth video appointment discussing my concerns. She was very patient and addressed all my concerns. I've seen a few different doctors including another psychiatrist prior to this visit with her and I must say that I've never felt more comfortable with another physician. She has amazing patient care! I wish I would have found her sooner. Thank you Dr.Wendler and Nia! read more

Initially the service was good. Sadly, they became yet another greedy professional in this mental health field and tried to bill me for a bogus charge, claiming I didn't show up for a session that I never even agreed to attend. After two opportunities to correct, they refused and threatened me with collections for a fraudulent charge that I never agreed to. This is unethical and unprofessional. This is the exact kind of unethical behavior that taints the mental health field and ruins the trust. As a mental health professional myself I do not endorse this business or recommend them. sadly they've become just another money hungry entity trying to steal money from clients. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you need services that are honest and accurate. read more

Was 12 minutes late on our tele health appt. Not a good first impression. She Made me feel bad about my own feelings and her questions came across condescending. Made judgements about me within the first 30 minutes of our appt then She ended up telling me she couldn't help me and good luck. I felt horrible about myself the rest of the day. read more

The awesome and wonderful Dr Wendler since I've started seeing her I had never felt so whole and uplifting in a very long time being that I've struggle with depression/bipolar and many other hardship problems dealing with the mind and soul she has made my life very easy to go forward and tackle the world again, which I use to a long time ago she new exactly the right meds that I needed to help me with my situation and how to deal with the negative that surrounds me and drags me down daily. counseling session with her brought me and taught me that ther is plenty love in me and to build up my inner soul to conquer and turn all my attention to Positive thank you for all you've done for me Dr Wendler your the best. read more

One of the least professional psychiatrists I've ever talked to. Straight up offensive, condescending, judgemental, lacking transparency, disorganized (received meeting link 7 minutes into our online appointment via Doxy). Her connection was weak (pun intended) so she had to leave and rejoin the chat after being late. She kicked off the appointment with a scowl. She said she couldn't prescribe what I needed during the first appointment, but nowhere in all the paperwork I filled out or emails exchanged in the weeks beforehand was there any mention of this. I had even forwarded an email to her that was exclusively about the medication from my prescriber on the mainland. And that's after I brought it up to her assistant on the initial call. She wasn't familiar with my background: She didn't do her homework. The appointment was worse than a waste of time and money because I'm about to run out of medication for weeks. She didn't provide solutions that I could pursue in light of her not being able to help me. The damage was done. I closed the browser window to end the call early. Like Cheryl mentioned in her review here, I feel like crap after the session. Dr. Wendler: What is wrong with you? Alienating your patients is not normal. Learn how to empathize. People are often coming to you in a vulnerable state; it's not just about getting meds to them. Be kind, or at least be nice. If you reply to this and say you were respectful, helpful, effectively communicative before we met about what you would or wouldn't prescribe, or that you didn't bungle the appointment, I will 100% disagree. Don't let that stop you from deflecting criticism by attempting to discredit or blame the reviewer, as is your wont. It is unlikely that Dr. Wendler "take[s] seriously all reviews" or is "open and available to listen," as she copied and pasted in response to previous Yelp reviews, if how she showed up to our appointment was the outcome of that. To anyone considering Dr. Wendler: Avoid. read more

Dr. Wendler has helped our family immensely. She has prescribed medications that have worked for anxiety and depression, and when needed, helped people taper off those meds. She has been flexible in trying different approaches. Having a mental health provider we can trust has been life changing. She listens and has adjusted medication accordingly. Mahalo read more

I paid $250 cash for initial appt and she said have my records faxed from previous doctor so she could prescribe meds. She is a doctor and could make a diagnosis on her own authority and prescribe medicine but it seems like doctors now days just do not want to be the first doctor to give you something. I had my records faxed and received no call back. I left 3 messages 1 week apart each and to this day no call back. As far as I know we had a normal initial appt and $250 for half hour is probably more than she gets most of the time. read more

Horrible doctor ! Don't go here ! On my visit I was very uncomfortable she made me feel that something was wrong with me . I needed to fill out application for a emergency refill for medication and I was brushed off by from desk and was told the doctor is too busy for that . I stayed one week without medication Bcs of that and finally when I begged them to ask her to fill it out again and fax it she didn't put the date on application refill and it took another week for my stay without a mediation Bcs of that . There was half a page to fill it out that takes 5 min or less and she wouldn't take time to do it . She doesn't care abt her patients I was also told after al that to not come back to that office . This doctor has no compassion for their patients I would never go back there . read more

****BE VERY CAREFUL before you work Sheila Wendler***** as you see below, she is MALICIOUS and wishing me to lose work and my livelihood because I shared my honest experience. This is the response of Sheila Wendler, someone who calls herself a professional, to my recent and honest post about her business: "Telehealth consists in audio and VIDEO! It can't be done while a patient is driving due to obvious safety risks to the patient and other cars in the road. Shame on you Ms. Lorenzo, endangering innocent people in the road! You have no common sense, you totally disregard the safety of others and you are so arrogant that you believe your behavior is acceptable. I hope your current employer and future employers see this post and realize what type of person you are before they hire you. You are a safety hazard to innocent people!" ****BE VERY CAREFUL before you work Sheila Wendler***** as you see above, she is MALICIOUS and wishing me to lose work and my livelihood because I shared my honest experience with her. ***^Furthermore, I was not endangering anyone nor myself. I had my hands free headsets in and was not breaking the law in any such way*** Sheila Wendler could see and hear me the entire time. I had both hands on the wheel and my eyes on the road. We could have had a safe conversation (people do it legally while driving, everyday!). You are not above the law Sheila. Stop making up your own rules as you go. I called HMSA to see if I had violated any rule (ie. Driving while in a tele-health session) and they confirmed for me that I had not. So instead of making personal jabs to my "common sense," I suggest you exercise some self restraint, professionalism, and common sense of your own, as this is not a good display of character for you. (Just read any other bad reviews on here and her defensive responses). But thanks for your response as people can now see how malicious you are toward your former patients. Original post: This doctor is only available via tele-health and has very limited and odd hours of operation so it's impossible to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. She also won't refill Rx's without an appointment even though she's been prescribing the same Rx to me for years. Waited weeks for an appointment only to have her cancel it because I was driving during our last tele-health session. I had my hands free headset in, had both hands on the wheel, & wasn't breaking any laws or rules. She insisted I pull over on the freeway instead! I had left a message days prior asking if I could move up or back my appointment by 15 min because I was going to be barely finishing work at that time and heading home. Her secretary said she couldn't change the appointment time or shorten our appointment and didn't say anything to me mentioning I was going to be driving home during the visit. That would have been a good time to notify me that she had strict personal rules against driving during her sessions. Total lack of communication and consideration on their part and scheduling was a nightmare. Never again. read more

I was really looking forward to receiving help with Dr. Sheila Wendler my really good friend is a client of hers and referred me to her . Unfortunately it didn't work out . Due to connection issues on tele health our session was cut after I shared a lot of vulnerable and personal information. I called her office , after we cut out after a few minutes of waiting and trying go reconnect, and explained to the receptionist that we were attempting to finish our session. I never got a call back from Dr. Sheila or the receptionist so I ended up calling again after 12 min to figure out what happened. this time the receptionist said she's with another patient already and it was because There was a connection issue which I was never made aware of during the call. I felt it was extremely unprofessional to been treated this way . I waited over a week for this much needed appointment and it's a vulnerable feeling to share ur medical history and needs. It would have been nice or professional overall to have had a callback or to try and provide a solution for the appointment not finishing from Dr.Sheila or someone from her office. I feel if ur in this type of workplace it's important to reflect what ur mission and intentions are by the way u treat others who are seeking assistance . If your looking for quality over quantity , or want to be treated with more compassion and acknowledgment I suggest u seek elsewhere . read more
