I'm the family member/care taker of someone who requires medication, and we've been thru the ringer of trying to find a psychiatrist actually accepting patients, and experiencing a really not good nurse practitioner medication manager who only does telehealth. Dr. Mee-Lee demonstrates that he is very knowledgeable, and his "bedside manner" with our family has been so patient and caring. Same goes for the office staff. Parking in downtown can be challenging - we park in the municipal lot at Marin Tower, I think it's about $3.15 for about 90 minutes, if i'm not mistaken. Great coffee, Irish pubs, and vegan food, nearby. Thank you Dr. Mee-Lee!

They are very organized, flexible, customer service oriented, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable with the in and outs of care both online and in-person. Highly highly recommend them, especially for the military/VA patients that use community care. Their access to care is probably the best on island. The communication from booking appointments to handling insurance and referrals has been nothing but AMAZING.

In the first Zoom meeting, I kept telling her about what's going on with my family and how important it is and she said she can't help me regarding my child, but she can help me with just me. I kept telling her that something was going on with my child that made me feel a certain way so that I needed to talk about that. She kept saying that she cannot help my child and I understood that. Anyways, I told her that if she specializes in human trafficking and she's a Christian because that's the two things that I was shocked to see someone had a specialty in and that is what I needed help in. I believed this was set up and a blessing from above, from God himself because how easy is it to find Christian-based therapy with specific things you're going through? She just seemed very dismissive and she seemed like she didn't wanna see me and I just told her that I feel like this is a very important matter to me that I need to speak about it and then we eventually came to a mutual understanding about what I needed in therapy. In the second session, she said that I cannot see her anymore because I need to take medicine and I already have a therapist. I told her I don't have a therapist. Their office and the hospital just said that I have one, but that I don't. I'm not seeing one right now. I was seeing one from before but I am not seeing anyone but her. She said if I don't do the medicine (which the hospital didn't require) then they can't see me. I said fine I don't think we can do this then. So we mutually agreed to end services with one another. Then I decided to go to Linda. So I made an appointment with her. The day I got a phone call, I didn't respond because I was busy. They left me an email saying my appointment was canceled the day of and they sent me an email discharging me. I called the office and the girl said the manager said I am not a good fit so they will not be seeing me anymore. I asked to speak to the supervisor to get this right. She was listening to everything that I said I said I was gonna write a Yelp review. I said that I did the survey just so that they would have feedback to know what went on with me. To know that I wasn't satisfied, wasn't helped, didn't feel hurt, just got out of the hospital, I don't have a therapist now and now I have to look for one, and they just didn't help the way that I needed them to. They kicked me out two times. So I confirmed with the manager about her saying I am not a good fit and they won't be seeing me anymore. So I got an email that they discharged me and I just told them I don't trust them or feel comfortable doing any work with them or any services with them anymore. And it's there. I would not recommend anyone who just got out of the hospital who's kind of vulnerable and is trusting people to help them to just go here and expect them to actually help, as they treated me like easy throw away patient, with no compassion.

I was at a loss, especially as I depended on the medications prescribed to me by this individual. Unsure as to what I could do, I started reaching out to various providers to start seeing someone new. It took me a month, but I finally came across Dr. Blaisdell. I left a message with her, and I got a quick call back that very same day. And I have been seeing Dr. Blaisdell since that day. Dr. Blaisdell is a very warm, yet practical individual, and she helped me to navigate some of the toughest times in my life. She always listened with an open heart and mind and provided me with advice, suggestions, and resources that would help me through difficulties, as well as the activities of everyday life. She doesn't believe in overmedicating someone because of issues, but instead she tries (and successfully) so to reach a balance between medication and therapy. I truly appreciate her very pragmatic approach and I have been a lot more stable and feeling like myself ever since I started seeing her. I would like to thank Dr. Blaisdell for her time and energy, her expertise, and her commitment. I feel safe. I feel comforted. I feel like I can go on.

I was reaching out to her again because I've been under her care since March 2019. I had a major depressive episode. I had suicidal ideation thoughts. I had to step down from a supervisory position in my company. Thankfully at that time, my social worker sister called me everyday and I recovered. I was able to step back up into my supervisory job. I am in the healthcare field and when Covid started and lasted so long, it impacted my company tremendously. By March of 2022, I started to experience depression once again. With both episodes, FMLA done to give me time off and protect my job. Last week I reached to her again due to anxiety and panic attacks. Yesterday with in the first few minutes of the session when I explained that I had looked into the requirements of filing for FMLA with the new automated intake system, her tone of voice changed. She told me she doesn't do FMLA anymore. She said it's really difficult to find a new practitioner who is willing to a new patient in short notice. At the same time within pausing for a beat, okay to $25 for the session today and right away the charge came up the screen. It took me by surprised. I paid it right away. Then she referred me to a provider. She is doing all of this during the session, emailing me his information and the session came to end. I started to feel a sense of hopelessness again after the call but logic return. Started thinking clearly, did Google search and found there are available doctors taking new patients. With two MDE, I am in a very fragile state of mind, having a difficult time with toxic coworkers. I understand about boundaries and setting limits, so when Dr. Blaisdell-Brennan told me she couldn't help me this time. I was okay with it. But, the way I felt she was addressing me was just very disrespectful and unsettling. My username here on YELP is not my real name so there will be no record in your business, Dr. Blaisdell-Brennan. You have the right to respond to this review but don't try to discount it. I am taking the time to write this review because I know how hard it is to find trustworthy medical professionals, how important it is to be able to trust a doctor who is going to prescribe powerful medications to you. The health care industry is broken. As a patient or someone seeking help for a loved one, you really need to take the time to do the research to find a practitioner who can help. Mental health is so important and getting it back may take a long time. Find someone who will partner with you to do it.
