I called this clinic and they said they could do his vaccine. I arrived for his appointment and the staff was all very nice and friendly and everything looked very clean. We were moved next door to another waiting room and they asked to see his vaccine card which I provided. They asked me why I was getting a third dose and I said because the Pfizer vaccine for infants is 3 doses. She asked me but who told you that you needed a third dose. I was kind of stumped and responded Pfizer and tx childrens told me...... She said I'll be right back and left with my son's vaccine card. At this point I am extremely unconfutable with having my son vaccinated here as they clearly do not even know the vaccine schedule. If she had not have taken the vaccine card I would have just left. So I waited a bit then she came back and said they don't have the pfizer infant dose. I said I was told that y'all did when I called and scheduled a couple of days ago. She apologized and said that they do not have it. So the whole thing wound up being a waste of time. So while everyone was very nice, there is some communication issues with their scheduling staff as well as some education issues. If they are administering vaccines, they should at least be aware of the vaccine schedule. I did really like that this clinic is smaller and it felt like you got more individualized attention versus other pediatric clinics that always seem overcrowded.

All I got was an egotistical administrator, who raved about working in the office for 9 years, that refused to even contact my insurance company in reference to an adjustment in a referral, which is what the insurance company told me to have my pcp do. Sad..I'll be changing pcp's once this ordeal is over with, because Dr. Hoffman herself is actually a good physician! Too bad her staff's ego ruined this relationship.. then again, I'm sure it's no loss to them, as I'm sure another patient will walk in, thus having them bleed another individuals insurance benefits.. steer clear!

Between the lines of first day back and traffic around to school, I was 12 minutes late for my appointment. They promptly told me they wanted to reschedule. I was only there for prescription refills. It would have been a "sit in the office, small talk for a few minutes" apointment... and "here's your prescription refills". I'm on blood pressure medication and just need a refill and they don't care because I didn't call while I was driving through school zones to get to the doctors office. I have a job and kids and they have no problem making me wait for 10 to 15 minutes, but heaven forbid they wait for you for a few minutes. I'll be finding a new doctor that cares.

I told her, I had mentioned on the phone that I'm bringing in my son because I don't have a sitter and she never said anything! I kid you not, I was fuming right on the get go! I told them to cancel my appointment then and I stormed back in my car. Then I realized, I haven't made my point just yet. So, I walked back up to the front door, opened it and pointed at the front desk lady and said "Oh, by the way, YOU'RE NOT WEARING A MASK EITHER!" She asks a ton of questions not only to address your health concern, but also to get to know you as a person. It is uncommon to find a doctor with such a relaxed and warm bedside manner. She is an absolute diamond of a doctor. The office is clean and modern. There is plenty of parking all around the building. It is located right off 518 and is easy to locate. The staff is friendly and receptive. There is usually very little wait time. The office uses the MyChart ap to help you stay in contact with your doctor. Dr. G and her staff usually respond the same day or the very next day. You really get the feeling that she cares. She never makes you feel like you have a dumb question. She does not have the doctor complex that you usually see form other doctors. She is not only the nicest doctor I know, she is one of the nicest people I have been fortunate enough to meet. Dr. G spends so much time one on one in the room with you that there is absolutely no feeling of being rushed whatsoever. You feel like you are catching up with a friend more than talking to a doctor. I wholehearted recommend Dr. Gertieson to anyone looking for the last doctor they will ever need. She has blood draws in office also so no traveling to another location to get that done. She uses a portal after the visit to communicate results and next steps. Today I had some very weird questions about my drinking, and the nurse said she could not move away from the screen unless I answered accurately- till date , I did not have this kind of question being mandatory at any medical facility, ever, especially when my 'drinking' is strictly only under social circumstances, and more times than not completely non existent for months together. Bear with me and read this review all the way to get as full of a picture as I can give about how Dr. Charles Hebenstreit with Memorial Herrmann Hospital System, his staff and contract partners handcuffed my wrists to my ankles, taking hundreds of dollars of my money and gave me nothing in return. In February 2022, at the referral from my psychiatrist made an appointment with Dr. Hebenstreit to be evaluated for sleep apnea. Between my initial appointment, picking up equipment for home sleep study and follow-up for the sleep apnea diagnosis, I paid $325, through Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. I saw the doctor for a combined 20 minutes, spending more time in the waiting room than in an exam room. I was told briefly and without explanation about the CPAP shortage and that I would be waiting 2-3 months for a machine. I was told the DME company, Arrow Care/Adapt Health would contact me within about a week to give me more details. To make a long story short, over the course of three months, I contacted the DME Co. roughly 12 times and Dr. Herbstreit's office at least 6 times for answers on when I could expect a call back from my service rep and got no answer and no call back. Finally on May 10th, 2022, I was told by Arrow Care/Adapt Health they did not accept my insurance. Once again, no one at Dr. Charles Herbstreit's office could tell me why he accepted my insurance but worked with only one DME that did not accept the same insurance. I am now starting the whole process over with another doctor but there's a good chance I will have to wait another 2-3 months for a CPAP machine since I'll be at the back of the line. My name is David Spires and I now know why Dr. Charles Hebenstreit wears a mask... So he's harder to identify when he robs you of your time and money and gives you nothing in return. Made appointment with Houston Methodist Medical Group-Pearland with new health care coverage for…read morethe start of the year 2023 and with new Primary Care Provider Dr Deepam S. Varughese (Joseph), MD at the Pearland clinic. Had scheduled appointment several months before so could get in right away when January 2023 came, as suggested by new health insurance. Received a phone call ONE DAY prior to the scheduled appointment from the Pearland clinic in January, that Dr. Varughese did NOT accept my health care plan! Had made the appointment in January as need my prescriptions refilled and to establish new care. In addition, received that day a note in MyChart application from Dr Varughese informing me that she would not EVER prescribe any pain medications, no matter what the issue is. I informed this clinic would call my health insurance plan to inform of these issues. The Methodist Pearland clinic disenrolled me from MyChart immediately even though I had filled out most of the preliminary information needed for a first visit such as medications prescribed, allergies, immunization history, etc. I have never been to this clinic prior to this experience. I then enrolled with the Pearland clinic with another doctor that did take my health insurance plan (as the Pearland clinic is so close to where I live). But the earliest I could get in was now in May, 2023. i needed my prescriptions refilled & waiting until May is too long so I requested they call me with a first cancellation to get in sooner. They assured me they would put me on the "urgent" list. I called my health plan and requested assistance with getting in for care. They set me up with a temporary Primary Care Provider in Clear Lake which is pretty far away from where I live, so I could get refills. Later, that evening I tried to sign in to the MyChart app to confirm my new appointment and again I was disenrolled! I found out that without my requesting to do so, The Pearland Methodist group cancelled my May appointment!! When the appointment was made for the Clear Lake doctor, I had made it clear that I would go once to get my medications refilled and then transfer to the clinic closest to where I live. The Pearland Methodist group had now cancelled two appointments with two different doctors & disenrolled me twice from MyChart, even though I have an appointment in 2 days to see a Methodist Group doctor in Clear Lake. All of this within the first NINE DAYS SINCE JANUARY BEGAN!
