Sheikhs has been going for a while in Sheffield, but I went in recently because I heard it was under new management.
It is a takeaway at the front with a Restaurant area to the rear, so you can pop for a quick Shawarma (real meat doner) or Felafel sandwich to takeaway or sit down and choose from the menu.
There are enough traditional Lebanese and Middle Eastern specialities to choose from.
It was Saturday late lunch time around 2-2.30pm, the place was reasonably busy with a mixture of Restaurant and Takeaway customers, quite clean and spacious enough although it would probably only seat around 25-30 people max.
We had 3 mezes- Tabouleh, Fatoush and Moutabal, all of which were tasty and presented as they should be- dressings etc.
Then I had a Shawarma Wrap (nice bread) and the meat was good too. My Colleague just had the home made soup which according to her was spot on. The bill with a couple of soft drinks each came to less than £20, so reasonable value also. read more
