I had already been eyeing this place because of the positive reviews, so it worked out perfectly. We arrived around 7:20, and since they close at 8, I was hoping they wouldn't be too low on the options we wanted. Thankfully, they still had most of what we were looking for. We ended up ordering three oxtail plates (which a couple behind us seemed unhappy about, but honestly, they should have come earlier) and one stew chicken plate. I can't compare the oxtail to other places in Georgia, but it was tasty, satisfying, and the portions were reasonable. Have I had better? Definitely. I've had versions with more flavor, more gravy, and rice that was seasoned on its own. The rice here was decent, but it tasted even better once you mixed in the oxtail gravy. I'd probably skip the coco bread next time, though. Overall, the food was very good, and I'd happily come back the next time I visit Georgia. The lady who helped us was pleasant, and so was the gentleman who came out to assist her. I don't buy into that idea that the food is only good if the staff has an attitude. I've had amazing food with great service plenty of times, and this was one of those experiences. The restaurant is next to a gas station, which threw me off at first, but it's its own separate spot. There are a few tables inside if you want to dine in, but we got our food to go. Since it was close to closing time, I'm not sure if the dine-in area closes a bit earlier. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't been before and want to try some Caribbean food.

I stopped by Naunie's looking to appease a craving for Good Caribbean food. *Swoon* I ordered the Fadda's Oxtails with peas and rice and cabbage. I also noted that besides beef they had spinach Pattie's and picked one of these up too. The first bite was of the spinach patty and it is by no means Just spinach, the spices were a pleasant surprise and I knew I was in for a treat. I next broke into the tender flavorful oxtails, yummy. If you've ever tried and failed to cook oxtails, put away your insta pot and pull up here. They are well spiced and with the rice and peas, you don't miss on any of the sauce cause they soak it up. The cabbage was cooked, but not over cooked with some carrots added for flavor, in addition to just the right amount of seasoning. By the time I got around to the plantain it was cold, my bad as I wasn't focused on anything beyond the main meal. The interior of the restaurant is clean, colorful, quaint, and post Covid smart with four tables and a long window bar that seats three. I choose to sit and eat without worry or concern as the place was spotless. I will be back! Thank you Naunie's! Tip: they also have Wi-Fi.
