I am very disappointed at the way my family and I were treated when trying to purchase gas. On our…read moreway home to Indianapolis after attending my husband's grandmother's funeral, in Maryland, we needed to stop to get gas. It seemed like all the gas stations were closing so we needed to find a gas station quickly. Having about 1/4 tank we were looking pretty intensely to find a station. A young man told us of this gas station and I called to see if they were open. The woman that answered the phone said that they were closing in about 8 minutes (midnight). We literally arrived 2 mins later with our gps. My husband quickly jumped out knowing we only had about 5 mins to get gas before they closed. He swiped his card, hurried to put the pump in the car and waited for the clerk inside to authorize the transaction. Nothing happen. So he ran over to the window to ask the woman to start the pump. On the phone, she denied him. He let her know that I had just called and she told me that they were closing soon, but we're still open. We had our children in the car. And she couldn't push the button!! I'm so furious! You are a gas station next to an Interstate highway! Don't you realize people may be very low on gas?!! How rude! I'm so glad we were able to find a gas just a few miles down the road. Ugh. So very disappointed that the clerk was more concerned with getting off work, then helping a customer in need! I will be writing management.
