Friendly staff and great options based on Sheetz brand. I got unique Twix flavors cookie dough and snickerdoodle, Mac cheese bites, and a July 4 cheesecake shake. Would've preferred being able to change regular whip cream to sweet cream. Tables for sitting down area not clean. Wiped w a napkin. Bathrooms clean within reason. Growing up in Jersey, I've always been a Wawa person -- I love their wide selection of made-to-order food. While traveling through PA, I decided to give Sheetz a try for the first time. I ordered the corn dog nuggets and two snack wraps. I found it interesting (and a bit disappointing) that every topping and sauce cost extra, whereas Wawa includes most of them. The corn dog nuggets were on the greasy side, with a coating that tasted oddly sweet, almost like funnel cake. The outside was blazing hot, but the hot dog inside was only lukewarm. The snack wraps, however, were solid -- I'd definitely order those again. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit a Sheetz; I'd probably look for a Wawa instead. read more

I'm not sure how they did it, but they made this location feel secluded. That's a major feat when placed at an intersection along a major throughway. And somehow they managed to fill the space to make it feel like a busy, but not overbearing area. Walking inside it is well laid out. Making things easy to find and making it easy to navigate the store overall. The facilities are well taken care of and in working order. Walking through the stores I grabbed a few items I didn't necessarily need. Made my way to the front, paid and headed outside. I decided to stick around a bit to allow me to stretch my legs for a bit. It had been a long few days driving around in my vehicle. I was about my halfway stretch on this trek, but I wasn't ready to get back into my vehicle just yet. This Sheetz has some outdoor seating, but it isn't all that usable as of just yet. But whenever Zeke is working the register at this Shoemakersville Sheetz he is always greeting everyone with a smile and asking them how they are doing. This location must be close to flagship status. Even though I live in Philly, I still travel out enough to know that this is one of the best Sheetz in the area. It was completely renovated and expanded, and re-opened in the middle of 2016. It's clean, it's big, it's got nice indoor seating, the staff are great, it's got lots of ready-to-drink teas to choose from, it's got the ice cream shake machine, and of course it's got the full MTO spread of food. Yeah - I don't know of any other Sheetz that get better than this. It's always a quintessential stop for me on my way back to Philly. [Except: gas prices in the area Sheetz have been higher than other local businesses, as of late (2/2017); unknown why that is. $2.55 instead of $2.43 (Wawa), $2.44 (Rutters), $2.43 (Sunoco). I never really cared for this location. The parking lot is so small & congested. It always looks so dirty inside & out. The gas is so very cheap it clogs fuel filters! Sheetz still uses styrofoam cups for coffee. Hello, it is going on year 2020. Time to update your cups so you are more environmentally friendly, unless that would eat into Sheetz's profit margins. The local people are very rude and so are the rest of the clientele. People stand in line patiently and others come through the door and immediately waltz up the register. When said customer is reminded there is a line they insist you should wait a minute. The employees don't say a thing. Wawa has better coffee, better quality food, larger parking lot and the clientele is nicer as well. The employees go out of their way to make customers happy. You can have Sheetz! read more

I grew up in Jersey. Apparently, though I grew up within walking distance and then lived someplace else close enough to walk to Wawa...I never got the hype. And apparently, Wawa is very much a "thing" to people in Jersey and the mid-Atlantic states. Don't get it. So Sheetz....SHEETZ IS THE BIZNESS. I didn't know what to expect, but figured I could get a bag of chips or something if I didn't think their sandwiches looked up to snuff. the MTO (Made-To-Order) stuff is great. I seriously had the best sausage egg and cheese breakfast with tots I've ever had. And cheap! Everyone there is nice. And you can literally "eat and get gas" (wink wink, nudge nudge). Wish that there were more Sheetz close to where I live. Because a road trip might be in order JUST to get to Sheetz. This one was off the beaten path a bit. But worth the trip. read more

Cheap gas. My mom asked me to stop here for coffee on the way home prior to our thanksgiving feast. She said to get whole bean, regular coffee. They only had "Winter Wonderland" and Decaf. Both ground. Apparently Winter Wonderland was really good, I dunno. For kicks I tried to get the most non-berks-county coffee beverage from their made2order system. I eventually ended up with a decaf soy iced caramel latte. It was surprisingly good. However, as I walked out with my snob beverage, I couldn't help but feel inferior to all of the people driving huge 8mpg trucks with 8" lifts. Time to buy an F-250, I guess. read more

We only go to this sheetz because it is a convenient distance - they constantly get our food orders wrong. Constantly. When I called in the one time to tell them they got our order incorrect they blew me off. Horrible. read more
