Recently I tried to buy gas on my business credit card and beer/chips on my personal debit card. After I paid for the gas, the clerk abruptly told me to step to the back of the line to pay for the beer. At first I thought he was joking. He said he was the Asst Mgr and this was Speedway's policy when the store was busy. They were NOT busy...only 2 customers behind me! I had prepaid for the gas, but left the beer at the register. While I was pumping my gas, the customer who was behind me in line walked up to me and told me she had intended to do 2 separate transactions too (food for her and cigs for her neighbor). After she saw how the Mgr "hassled" me, she decided not to patronize the store. She went to Kroger's across the street to make her purchases. A few days later, I went to this Speedway again. The same Mgr told me to go to the back of the line again when tried to do 2 transactions on separate credit cards This time, I made him issue me a credit on my business card for the prepaid gas purchase, which he reluctantly did. I left the store. Won't go there again. Apparently this store's new policy only allows 1 transaction at the register, then you have to go to the back of the line for a 2nd transaction. Avoid the drama. The Speedway on Farson Street and Kroger's does not have this policy. I was gonna give a 1-star review, but since I previously had good service from other clerks, I wanted to be fair.

A traditional Philly cheesesteak is not made with roast beef. Roast beef has a completely different texture, seasoning, and flavor profile. While it may seem similar, it's not the same thing. An authentic cheesesteak is made with: * Thinly sliced ribeye steak (or shaved steak / minute steak as an acceptable substitute) * Cooked on a flat-top grill * Lightly seasoned (usually just salt and pepper) * Chopped and folded together while cooking * Served on a fresh hoagie roll (Amoroso-style if you want to be authentic) * Topped with either Cheez Whiz, American cheese, or Provolone * Optional additions: sautéed onions (this is traditional), sometimes mushrooms or peppers depending on preference The key element is fresh shaved steak cooked to order, not deli-style roast beef placed on bread. There's nothing wrong with roast beef sandwiches -- they're great in their own right -- but calling it a cheesesteak changes the standard of what people expect, especially for those of us from Philadelphia where this sandwich originated. I'm sharing this respectfully in hopes that local spots consider offering a true steak version. There's a big difference in quality and authenticity, and people would absolutely appreciate it.

The dollar table was stocked up very well. This is probably the best speedway I have ever been to in a while, as since 7-Eleven bought the speedway, it's gone downhill. The area around the pumps is always filthy, the staff is rude and unwilling to assist with…read moreanything, they treat customers as if they are stupid for bringing anything to their attention. The fuel pumps are broken more than they are working. They rarely keep receipt paper in the pumps forcing people to go inside to get a receipt and then they act as if you are disturbing them. Workers are usually huddled behind the counter chatting each other up (If they're not outside smoking) and they act annoyed if you ask them anything. I informed one of the workers that a certain pump wasn't working and they didn't seem to care and didn't check it out. She just said that they couldn't do anything about it. Two weeks later I returned and the same pump was broken, I reported it again, to a different clerk and she became condescending and began explaining to me how a gas pump works (as if I were an idiot). She said they haven't had any trouble with it before, I explained to her that I had reported it 2 weeks prior so I know they've had trouble with it. The vehicle that I drive is quite large and can only easily fit at that particular pump due to the confined parking area and the way the pumps are laid out. One other time, I had asked a male worker why the pumps are always broken and they rarely have receipt paper at the pumps, his response was "we have a moto here, if it's broke don't fix it" and then he laughed. And it seems that they hold true to that "moto". I would never recommend this Gomart location to anyone and I always try to take my business and fleet vehicles elsewhere if possible, even though this location is more convenient for me, its not worth the hassle and aggravation of having to deal with rude lazy workers, broken pumps and filth.
