However, access to this sports complex is included as an amenity, and with free, frequent shuttle service from the hotel, it was easy and convenient to give it a try. This is a full-service facility. They have tennis courts (with pickleball courts coming soon), a complete exercise and weight room, a lap pool, multiple hot tubs, and a sauna. They even have a hole cut into Woodlake for cold plunging, which was impressive. All of the exercise equipment was high quality and in good working order. We were familiar with most of it, but it would have been nice to have an attendant present in the workout area for questions or guidance, especially for anyone less experienced with gym equipment. The locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms were all clean, modern, and well maintained. Everything felt spacious and thoughtfully laid out. We were glad we took the time to check it out. While it is not located directly at the American Club, the shuttle service makes it easy to access, and the quality of the facility more than makes up for the short ride.

Great spot but light on towels and lockers are small (more so that they're ok top of each other…read morethan small). But, otherwise, this is a great facility. Plenty of tennis and pickleball courts and multiple pools - so , if you are a lap swimmer, you don't have to share with the kids. Friendly staff and while the locker room amenities are sparse and the lockers are on top of each other (as previously mentioned), the locker room itself is large and the pool deck and other areas have plenty of room. There is also a sauna and steam area. Family locker rooms exist also outside of the regular ones (but they're one person use and always seem wet...). Water is around if you're thirsty and everything is very clean. Worth a visit if you're local or staying nearby.

I love dropping into local CF boxes when I travel. This one is close to my home town. The athletes were extremely welcoming and accepted all shapes, sizes, and ability levels with open arms in true CF fashion. Everyone chipped in to clean up after class. Every time (4 total) I attended a class, everyone wiped down their equipment and cleaned their workout area. The box is connected to a gym operated by the owner's husband allowing for an even better, overall fitness experience. The owner, who coached the classes I attended, was extremely knowledgeable in Olympic lifting and took extra time after class to work with me on cleans. Love this place. A wonderful home away from home. I will be coming back!

There is a new " Manager Special " at this gym . If you own…read morea motorbike, you can park it on the sidewalk in front of the entrance , so I am inviting all you bikers out there , that can not walk , 50 feet from the parking lot to come on down and park on the sidewalk . I really don't have a problem walking around your bike . Please come on down in Sheboygan and park your bikes on this sidewalk , because it is an approved and is an incentive of this Manager For you to come and work out in this gym . Again the manager approves this so who I'm I to judge anyone at planet fitness . I think all the planet fitness stores should do this , because who wants to tire themselves out walking fifty feet from the parking lot to work out. It might slow down your work out.

My complaints are with both the rude people and the policies: Strike One: People in Sheboygan are universally friendly...except here. I entered, went to the counter and interrupted a guy who was busy staring off into the distance. I told him I'm considering joining and he couldn't even muster a fake smile. Just stood there saying nothing. I told him I needed a specific piece of equipment. He said he didn't know what that was. I described the machine in detail, and he said, "Oh, we have 2 of those." Strike Two: They require credit card AND checking account info (Yes, both!) before I could have a tour. I asked if I could just see the machine, and he said not until I register on an iPad and enter the account information. Why would I hand over all that private financial information before I even decide to join? Strike Three: He walks me to the iPad, turns it on and leaves. I'm working on registering until a checkbox comes up confirming I agree to the "guest waiver." I click on that link to read it, but only a white screen comes up. Another staff person is leading someone to the next iPad, so I ask for his help. He has me re-enter everything, click again, same white screen. He tells me to start over for a 3rd time, and just check the box because it's just standard. I said I'm not agreeing to something I can't read. At this point I finally realized this whole experience was a nightmare and gave up.

I have to give this place a negative review because I was in town for a few days and had acquired a…read moretemporary 7-day pass, but I could never find anybody at the location to even open up the doors for me. Besides that, when I was waiting outside at the front some club member dope came up and acted like a total jerk just because I was trying to get into the building. He wouldn't even answer my questions, which basically had to do with whether or not somebody was ever around to recruit and sign up members. So I guess "The first rule of Anytime Fitness is - We don't talk about Anytime Fitness."

I felt balanced, had a great full body workout and walked out energized.
